Los primeros motores de producción llegan a las instalaciones de Airbus en Toulouse, Francia

El motor Rolls-Royce Trent 7000, que impulsa el Airbus A330NEO, ha recibido la certificación de la Agencia Europea de Seguridad Aérea (EASA). Los primeros motores de producción se entregaron en las instalaciones de Airbus en Toulouse, Francia.

El Trent 7000 es el cuarto motor Rolls-Royce que recibió la certificación formal en 12 meses, después de Trent 1000 TEN, Trent XWB-97 y Pearl 15. El certificado fue presentado a Rolls-Royce por Trevor Woods, director de certificación de EASA, en el Salón Aeronáutico Internacional de Farnborough. El Trent 7000 es el motor exclusivo para el A330NEO, que entrará en servicio más tarde en 2018 con TAP Air Portugal. El avión hizo su primera aparición en el Farnborough Airshow de este año.

El propulsor Trent 7000 de 68.000 lb a 72.000 lb ofrece una relación de desvío doble que la de su predecesor, un consumo de combustible específico 10% mejor y menos ruido.

The first production engines arrive at the Airbus facilities in Toulouse, France

The Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engine, which drives the Airbus A330NEO, has received the certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The first production engines were delivered at the Airbus facilities in Toulouse, France.

The Trent 7000 is the fourth Rolls-Royce engine that received formal certification in 12 months, after Trent 1000 TEN, Trent XWB-97 and Pearl 15. The certificate was presented to Rolls-Royce by Trevor Woods, EASA certification director, at the International Air Show in Farnborough. The Trent 7000 is the exclusive engine for the A330NEO, which will enter service later in 2018 with TAP Air Portugal. The plane made its first appearance at this year’s Farnborough Airshow.

The president of Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace, Chris Cholerton, said: «Certifying and delivering the Trent 7000 engine further strengthens our position in the latest generation of aircraft and I would like to thank everyone at EASA and Airbus, as well as my own colleagues from Rolls-Royce, who have worked so closely to get to this point». The Trent 7000 brings together over 50 million flight hours of experience from the Trent 700, which drives the original version of the A330. It combines the architecture of Trent 1000 TEN, the latest version of the Trent 1000 engine, and the latest technology of the Trent XWB. The 68,000 lb. 72,000 lb.
