Argentina elevó los niveles de alerta y reforzó la seguridad en el país tras el ataque de Estados Unidos a lider iraní

La Presidencia de la Nación Argentina ha reforzado las fronteras, el resguardo de objetivos norteamericanos, aerolíneas de Estados Unidos e instituciones internacionales en el país. La Argentina ha elevado los niveles de alerta y reforzó todos los operativos de seguridad en el país en las últimas horas luego de que Estados Unidos abatiera al General iraní Qassem Soleimani en un operativo aéreo cerca del Aeropuerto de Bagdad y después de que Teherán amenazara con vengarse de ese ataque de Washington.

La Casa Rosada han pronunciado la elevación de los niveles de alerta preventiva aunque aclararon que ello no significa que haya preocupación ante eventuales ataques. Los niveles de alerta se potenciaron en las últimas horas en la Argentina también en todos los pasos fronterizos, donde las autoridades de Migraciones tienen un listado de Interpol con todos los terroristas más buscados del mundo.

El Ministerio de Seguridad como la Cancillería tomaron contacto con la Embajada de Estados Unidos en Buenos Aires para “estar a disposición de cualquier eventualidad o prevención necesaria”, dijeron las fuentes consultadas. En este último caso las medidas de seguridad implicarían reforzar la custodia de la Policía Federal en la embajada norteamericana y la residencia del embajador Edward Prado.

La Casa Rosada dijeron que por el momento no habrá ninguna definición política respecto de los hechos que ocurrieron en Bagdad en las últimas horas. Por otro lado se ha informado desde Cancillería haber recibido información de que el militar muerto Qassem Soleimani estaba involucrado en el ataque terrorista a la asociación judía AMIA en Buenos Aires, que dejó 85 muertos en 1994.

Desde Teherán ya elevaron amenazas contra blancos norteamericanos. De hecho hoy los iraníes levantaron las sangrientas banderas de la venganza, prometiendo tomar represalias después de que Estados Unidos abatiera al general Qassem Soleimani en un operativo aéreo en Bagdad.

Iran responde ataque

Los ataques con cohetes golpearon el centro de Bagdad y la base aérea que alberga tropas estadounidenses. Una serie de cohetes apuntaron a la zona verde altamente fortificada en Bagdad, así como a una base aérea que albergaba tropas estadounidenses. Las explosiones se producen inmediatamente después de un ataque aéreo estadounidense que mató al principal general iraní Qassem Soleimani.

Aerolíneas en alerta

Las aerolíneas de Oriente Medio Royal Jordanian y Gulf Air han suspendido los vuelos al Aeropuerto Internacional de Bagdad (BGW) por motivos de seguridad. Royal Jordanian, dijo en un comunicado que detuvo todos los servicios entre Ammán y Bagdad «a la luz de la situación de seguridad en la capital iraquí y en el aeropuerto internacional de Bagdad, el objetivo del ataque que mató al general Qassem Soleimani».

Gulf Air, la aerolínea de bandera de Bahrein, suspendió los vuelos hacia y desde Bagdad y la ciudad de Najaf en el centro sur de Irak. La familia real de Bahrein se ha opuesto a la teocracia chiíta de Irán.

La República Argentina ve con preocupación los recientes acontecimientos ocurridos en Medio Oriente.

Eventos violentos protagonizados en un mundo global y consecuentemente hiper-conectado tienen el potencial de tener consecuencias directas en todo el planeta.

Nosotros, los argentinos, podemos dar testimonio de lo dicho. En nuestro pasado reciente hemos sido víctima al menos en dos oportunidades de actos de terrorismo internacional.

Ante esa realidad y en virtud de nuestra propia experiencia, el Gobierno Nacional insta a las partes en conflicto a que dispongan las medidas que permitan contener la tensión y trabajar en pos de una salida pacífica y negociada que evite escaladas que pongan en riesgo la seguridad internacional.

Como siempre lo ha hecho, también esta vez privilegiamos la vía de la negociación y la diplomacia para la solución de los conflictos.

En ese sentido, hace un llamado a la comunidad internacional para que todos asumamos posiciones constructivas y reclama a las organizaciones multilaterales que asuman las responsabilidades que se les han confiado, en particular en materia de paz y seguridad internacional.

Faced with this reality and by virtue of our own experience, the National Government urges the parties to the conflict to arrange the measures to contain the tension and work towards a peaceful and negotiated exit that avoids escalations that put international security at risk.

As it has always done, this time we also privilege the way of negotiation and diplomacy for the resolution of conflicts.

In that regard, he calls on the international community for all to assume constructive positions and calls on multilateral organizations to assume the responsibilities entrusted to them, in particular in matters of international peace and security.
