Efectos auge nearshoring en la industria aviación
El nearshoring está alimentando la industria aérea al dirigir el tráfico aéreo a hacia una mayor inversión extranjera. El caso más cercano aplica a las áreas de México como el Bajío, el centro de México y los estados del Norte. Un estudio realizado por Monex, una empresa mexicana de divisas, reveló que después del sector inmobiliario industrial, la industria aérea es la segunda más beneficiada por el fenómeno del nearshoring, que ha convertido al país en uno de los favoritos para reubicar operaciones para estar más cerca de Estados Unidos.
Monex descubrió que el aumento en los vuelos entrantes se debe a una serie de razones: Acuerdos como el Tratado de México, Estados Unidos y Canadá (T-MEC), que promueve la conectividad entre los tres países, y la Red de Libre Comercio de México, que otorga al país acceso preferencial a 50 naciones, han alimentado parte del tráfico aéreo.
La rápida recuperación del tráfico de pasajeros después de la pandemia y los costos promedio de las tarifas aéreas más bajos que en otros países también han ayudado. Una planificación coordinada con asociaciones aeroportuarias regionales ha ayudado a aliviar la saturación en el Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México (AICM) y satisfacer la demanda agregada por la nearshoring.
Después de interrupciones en la cadena de suministro, muchas empresas están acelerando sus planes de trasladarse a México. La pandemia detuvo los viajes de negocios, pero a medida que las empresas se reubican, los viajes corporativos han regresado entre los ejecutivos que deben viajar a diferentes lugares de México para decidir dónde se establecerán sus empresas. El aumento de los viajes de negocios, el turismo y los viajes familiares tienen la mayor parte del mercado con un enorme 79%. El 21% restante de todo el tráfico aéreo que entra y sale de México es de negocios.

Nearshoring is fueling the airline industry by directing air traffic toward more foreign investment. A study carried out by Monex, a Mexican foreign exchange company, revealed that after the industrial real estate sector, the airline industry is the second most benefited by the nearshoring phenomenon, which has made the country one of the favorites to relocate operations to be more near the United States.
Monex discovered that the increase in incoming flights is due to a number of reasons: Agreements such as the Mexico-United States-Canada Treaty (T-MEC), which promotes connectivity between the three countries, and the Free Trade Network of Mexico, which grants the country preferential access to 50 nations, have fueled part of the air traffic.
The rapid recovery in passenger traffic after the pandemic and lower average airfare costs than other countries have also helped. Coordinated planning with regional airport associations has helped alleviate congestion at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) and meet the added demand for nearshoring.
After supply chain disruptions, many companies are accelerating their plans to relocate to Mexico. The pandemic has brought business travel to a halt, but as companies relocate, corporate travel has made a comeback for executives who must travel to different parts of Mexico to decide where their companies will be based. Rising business travel, tourism and family travel have the largest share of the market with a whopping 79%. The remaining 21% of all air traffic in and out of Mexico is business.
The Chinese market is currently not as attractive, nor is it the center of the supply chain. Air cargo is now a more viable option and the airline industry is beginning to convert passenger planes to cargo planes.
