Retorna ruta Santiago Chile—Punta Arenas 6Frq/S
JetSMART Airlines Chile dijo que la aerolínea tiene previsto reanudar este Jueves 22/12 sus vuelos a Punta Arenas desde Santiago de Chile, luego de haber recuperado la ruta Santiago/Puerto Natales el pasado 5 de Diciembre de 2022, según Pablo García, Gerente General de la compañía en Chile. “A partir del Jueves 22 de Diciembre vamos a seguir adelante con la Región de Magallanes, relanzando la ruta Santiago/Punta Arenas, con seis vuelos semanales, mientras que Santiago Puerto Natales tendrá tres vuelos semanales”, dijo Pablo García.
JetSMART Airlines Chile vuela Airbus A320 y A321, lo que “nos tiene entre las aerolíneas más modernas de América del Sur, y con la nueva tecnología podemos ahorrar combustible y disminuir fuertemente nuestra huella de carbono. Dados los destinos que estamos ofreciendo estamos generando una mayor competencia en el mercado y por ende las mejores tarifas para volar y disfrutar de la maravillosa Región de Magallanes”, expresó el Gerente General.
JetSMART cuenta actualmente con dieciséis rutas internacionales y conecta con siete países sudamericanos, Chile, Argentina, Perú, Colombia, Brasil, Uruguay y Paraguay más veinticinco destinos domésticos, entre ellos algunos vuelos desde el interior como Punta Arenas—Puerto Montt—Temuco.
Pablo García también reveló que el Alcalde de Punta Arenas, Claudio Radonich, había contactado recientemente a representantes de las aerolíneas SKY Airline, LATAM Airlines y JetSMART Airlines preocupados por el costo de los boletos aéreos y la escasa disponibilidad de asientos, tanto para llegar como para salir de la región. A esto hay que añadir el tráfico extra esperado para la temporada de verano. Al parecer, el Alcalde también presentó el caso al Ministerio de Transporte, señalando que la existencia de solo dos aerolíneas era, de hecho, un monopolio dual compartido y una situación compleja. Pablo García subrayó entonces que por eso “una tercera aerolínea es tan importante para moderar las subidas de precios de los billetes. Estamos muy contentos de estar de vuelta en Punta Arenas y de que los destinos a Santiago, a Concepción, a Puerto Montt y a Temuco estarán funcionando todo el año”.

JetSMART Airlines Chile said that the airline plans to resume its flights to Punta Arenas from Santiago de Chile this Thursday 12/22, after having recovered the Santiago/Puerto Natales route on December 5, 2022, according to Pablo García, General Manager of the company in Chile. “As of Thursday, December 22, we will continue with the Magallanes Region, relaunching the Santiago/Punta Arenas route, with six weekly flights, while Santiago Puerto Natales will have three weekly flights”, said Pablo García.
JetSMART Airlines Chile flies Airbus A320 and A321, which “makes us among the most modern airlines in South America, and with the new technology we can save fuel and strongly reduce our carbon footprint. Given the destinations we are offering, we are generating a greater competition in the market and therefore the best rates to fly and enjoy the wonderful Magallanes Region”, expressed the General Manager.
JetSMART currently has sixteen international routes and connects with seven South American countries, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay plus twenty-five domestic destinations, including some flights from the interior such as Punta Arenas—Puerto Montt—Temuco.
Pablo García also revealed that the Mayor of Punta Arenas, Claudio Radonich, had recently contacted representatives of the airlines SKY Airline, LATAM Airlines and JetSMART Airlines concerned about the cost of air tickets and the scarce availability of seats, both to arrive and to leave the region. To this must be added the extra traffic expected for the summer season. Apparently, the Mayor also presented the case to the Ministry of Transport, pointing out that the existence of only two airlines was, in fact, a shared dual monopoly and a complex situation. Pablo García then stressed that for this reason “a third airline is so important to moderate the rise in ticket prices. We are very happy to be back in Punta Arenas and that the destinations to Santiago, Concepción, Puerto Montt and Temuco They’ll be running all year”.
