     Roma / París · La compañía italiana Finmeccanica defensa está discutiendo con Airbus de Francia la posibilidad de tomar el control total del fabricante de aviones regionales ATR, dijo el presidente ejecutivo Mauro Moretti el jueves.

ATR es una empresa conjunta entre Finmeccanica y el fabricante de aviones francés, el segundo mayor detrás de Boeing el mundo.

«Nuestros socios no quieren desarrollar, así que o nos convencen de que inviertan o que los convencen de llegar a un acuerdo que nos dará el control», dijo Moretti, hablando en la reunión anual de accionistas en Roma. Un portavoz de Airbus Grupo declinó hacer comentarios.

Finmeccanica in talks with Airbus over taking control of ATR

ROME/PARIS, April 28 (Reuters) – Italian defence company Finmeccanica is discussing with France’s Airbus the possibility of taking full control of regional planemaker ATR, Chief Executive Mauro Moretti said on Thursday.

ATR is a joint venture between Finmeccanica and the French planemaker, the world’s second largest behind Boeing. «Our partners do not want to develop, so either we convince them to invest or we convince them to strike a deal that will give us control,» Moretti said, speaking at the annual shareholders meeting in Rome. A spokesman for Airbus Group declined comment.
