El 17 de abril la aerolínea regional Delta, presentará tres versiones de aeronaves que operarán en el servicio de cargas aéreas y trabajos aéreos en el país.

La compañía se encuentra en un grado avanzado de diligenciamiento y aprobación de ANAC para lograr la habilitación de ambos servicios. Una de las bases operativas estará en al Aero Club Mendoza, La Puntilla, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, y el segundo «hub» se isntalaría en Palomar, Buenos Aires.

El mercado al que está dirigida la operación de DELTA es en cargas de productos perecederos, refrigerados y supercongelados, y, complementariamente, repuestos para la industria petrolera, equipamiento de emergentología médica, correspondencia y paquetería, eventualmente operación de transporte limitado de pasajeros como taxi aéreo.

Su flota para este segmento de operación aeronáutica está integrada por CESSNA GRAND CARAVAN (la máquina que se presenta el 17 de abril) y ATR 72/200.

El desarrollo de la empresa y sus servicios serán prestados «on demand» a los destinos que la clientela requiera, incluidos países limítrofes, siendo regulares, las cabeceras de regiones de Argentina.

El avión Grand Caravan es especialmente destacable en su operación porque permitirá transportar mercaderías directamente al lugar específico donde se necesitan. Ello es así en merito a su enorme capacidad de operar en todo terreno y clima, es el avión que se emplea en Alaska en áreas de bosques helados y se aterriza y despega sobre el borde de un río. A su vez siendo monomotor tiene una gran autonomía de más de 1800 kms y una razonable velocidad crucero de 320 kms/h.

La actividad de trabajos aéreos estará destinada a la distribución de insectos y fumigación aérea, con flota de aviones nuevos CESSNA 172 SKYHAWK.
