El fabricante de aviones Boeing ha firmado la adquisición de Rockwell Collins

El fabricante americano The Boeing Company había mantenido conversaciones productivas con United Technologies y Rockwell Collins. Boeing ha alcanzado acuerdos con cada uno de ellos. Como parte de los acuerdos, Boeing ha otorgado su consentimiento a su transacción según los contratos de la compañía.

United Technologies Corp. había anunciado en Septiembre 2017 que planea adquirir Rockwell por U$S 30 mil millones de dólares, incluido su pasivo. En ese momento, Boeing y Airbus, dijeron que eran escépticos de que la combinación daría como resultado ahorros para sus unidades de negocios.

Esta semana, sin embargo, Boeing dijo que había llegado a acuerdos con UTC y Rockwell cerrando un acuerdo de compra. «En un momento de producción récord de la industria, es sumamente importante que tengamos acuerdos comerciales con todos nuestros proveedores que impulsen un mayor enfoque para cumplir con sus compromisos de costos, cronograma y calidad para con Boeing y nuestros clientes», dijo Boeing.

La declaración de Boeing se produjo después de que UTC sostuviera una reunión con inversionistas la semana pasada durante la cual el presidente de UTC Aerospace Systems, Dave Gitlin, dijo que UTC Aerospace y Rockwell habían firmado acuerdos que prevén el consentimiento de la adquisición. «Nos hemos enfocado en el láser para encontrar una solución que sea beneficiosa para todos y estoy muy feliz de poder decirles que hemos sido capaces de lograrlo», expresó Dave Gitlin.

The American manufacturer The Boeing Company had had productive conversations with United Technologies and Rockwell Collins. Boeing has reached agreements with each of them. As part of the agreements, Boeing has granted its consent to its transaction according to the company’s contracts.

United Technologies Corp. announced in September 2017 that it plans to acquire Rockwell for U$S 30 billion, including its liability. At that time, Boeing and Airbus said they were skeptical that the combination would result in savings for their business units.

This week, however, Boeing said it had reached agreements with UTC and Rockwell by closing a purchase agreement. «At a time of record industry production, it is extremely important that we have business agreements with all of our suppliers that drive a greater focus to meet their cost, schedule and quality commitments to Boeing and our customers», said Boeing.

Boeing’s statement came after UTC held a meeting with investors last week during which UTC Aerospace Systems president Dave Gitlin said UTC Aerospace and Rockwell had signed agreements that provide consent for the acquisition. «We have focused on the laser to find a solution that is beneficial for everyone and I am very happy to be able to tell you that we have been able to achieve it», said Dave Gitlin.
