La NCAA de Nigeria reforzará los controles a las aerolíneas que vuelen en Nigeria

La Autoridad de Aviación Civil de Nigeria (NCAA) dijo el miércoles que ha intensificado el control en todas las aerolíneas operativas luego de incidentes menores y mayores ocurridos recientemente en el sector.

El Capitán Muhtar Usman, Director General de NCAA, reveló esto mientras hablaba con los periodistas en el Aeropuerto Murtala Muhammed (MMA), Lagos. Usman señaló que los inspectores de la NCAA ahora estaban monitoreando las actividades de las aerolíneas, particularmente en las áreas de la rampa, haciendo hincapié en que la autoridad reguladora continuaría manteniendo y mejorando el nivel de seguridad actual en la industria.

La NCAA estaba aprendiendo de las incidencias recientes mayores y menores que ocurrieron en la industria de la aviación del país en el año. Las lecciones aprendidas de los incidentes se utilizarán para evitar que ocurran grandes calamidades en la industria.

La NCAA continuará manteniendo y mejorando el nivel de seguridad en los últimos años, mientras que las recomendaciones de seguridad de Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) se seguirán al pie de la letra con el fin de mejorar la seguridad en el sistema. La NCAA segirá cumpliendo estrictamente con los ocho elementos críticos de la Organización de Aviación Civil Internacional (OACI) para evitar que ocurra un accidente en el sistema. NCAA ha desempeñado consistentemente funciones de supervisión de la seguridad operacional de las aerolíneas en el país y continuará transmitiendo su foco de búsqueda sobre ellas. La industria de la aviación es uno de los sectores más regulados del mundo con anexos y documentos internacionales.

Nigeria’s NCAA will strengthen controls on airlines flying in Nigeria

Nigeria’s Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) said on Wednesday it has stepped up control of all operating airlines after recent minor and major incidents in the sector.

Captain Muhtar Usman, NCAA General Director, revealed this while talking to reporters at Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Lagos. Usman noted that NCAA inspectors were now monitoring airline activities, particularly in the areas of the ramp, emphasizing that the regulatory authority would continue to maintain and improve the current level of safety in the industry.

The NCAA was learning from the major and minor recent incidents that occurred in the country’s aviation industry during the year. The lessons learned from the incidents will be used to prevent major calamities from occurring in the industry.
