La aerolínea francesa Air France comenzaría a desprograma a los A380

La compañía Air France ha revelado la intención de reducir su flota de la línea Airbus A380 que afectarían varias de sus rutas. La aerolínea posee 10 unidades operativas, de las cuales dos A380-800 daría de baja comercial de la flota de la compañía francesa cuando finalicen los contratos de leasing en 4Q2019. El resto de la flota A380 permanecerá volando, aunque no se ha anunciado ninguna decisión sobre tres aviones arrendados restantes y los cinco pertenecientes a Air France.

Debido a la reducción de tráfico punto a punto, Air France sostiene que no opera en suficientes destinos que exigen la capacidad que ofrece el A380 en un solo vuelo, por lo que ve necesario ofrecer una alternativa mejor en aeronave más reducidas pero con más frecuencias. Las configuraciones de los A380 se modificarán para adecuarlos a sus rutas con más tráfico.

The company Air France has revealed the intention to reduce its fleet of the Airbus A380 line that would affect several of its routes. The airline has 10 operating units, of which two A380-800 would be commercially deregistered from the French company’s fleet when the leasing contracts end in 4Q2019.
