Terrorista intenta secuestro Boeing 737 en Bangladesh
Un Boeing 737-800 de Biman Bangladesh, con registro de S2-AHV que realiza el vuelo BG-147 desde Dhaka a Chittagong (Bangladesh) con 134 pasajeros y 14 tripulantes, salía de Dhaka cuando un pasajero armado intentó entrometerse en la cabina a la fuerza. Muere el secuestrador
Según el comandante regional, previamente el secuestrador, que se identificó por el nombre de Mahadi, había demandado hablar con la honorable Primera Ministra (Sheikh Hasina) y con su esposa. “Nuestros comandos le pidieron inicialmente que se rindiera, pero se optó por actuar, ya que rechazó la petición e intentó atacar. El secuestrador resultó herido y después supimos que había muerto”, detalló el mayor general Rahman. “La operación de un comando militar ha logrado derrotar al secuestrador y la situación está bajo completo control del Ejército”, aseguró el portavoz de las Fuerzas Armadas de Bangladés, coronel Abdullah Ibne Zayed.

Ataque yihadista

The attackers claimed the action on behalf of the jihadist group Islamic State (ISIS), although the government dismissed the group’s presence in the country and attributed this action to a faction of the Bangladeshi extremist organization Jamaatul Muyahideen Bangladesh (JMB).
