La aerolínea «low cost» del grupo IAG, Level Airlines, despega con un vuelo directo de Barcelona a Los Ángeles
Level Airlines, la nueva ‘low cost’ para vuelos de largo radio del ‘holding’ IAG, que integra British Airways (BA), Iberia, Vueling y Aer Lingus, inicia este jueves operaciones en el Aeropuerto de Barcelona-El Prat con su vuelo inaugural entre la capital catalana y Los Ángeles.
Willie Walsh, consejero delegado de IAG ha explicado hoy que están «muy emocionados» ante este estreno y que quieren expandir Level en Barcelona y en otras ciudades europeas aunque, de momento, descartan volar en Madrid, «estamos mirando todas las opciones posibles», ha dicho.
El vuelo inaugural de la marca saldrá de El Prat a las 15.40 y está al máximo de capacidad, con 314 pasajeros a bordo del nuevo Airbus A330. También se inaugura hoy la ruta Barcelona – San Francisco, y el próximo 10 de junio 2017 estrena la ruta a Barcelona – Punta Cana y el 17 de junio 2017 Barcelona – Buenos Aires. La aeronave utilizada serán los A330 con 314 pax, 293 plazas ‘Economy’ y 21 de ‘Premium Economy’.
El Grupo IAG está estudiando otros destinos, como el mercado asiático y operar desde los aeropuertos de Roma-Fiumicino y París-Orly como opciones «más interesantes» para expandir su nuevo modelo operativo. Prevee incorporar un total de cinco aviones Airbus A330 para el año 2018.

Level Airlines, the new ‘low cost’ for long-haul flights from IAG’s holding company, which includes British Airways (BA), Iberia, Vueling and Aer Lingus, starts operations on Thursday at Barcelona-El Prat Airport with its inaugural flight Between the Catalan capital and Los Angeles.
Willie Walsh, CEO of IAG explained today that they are «very excited» about this premiere and that they want to expand Level in Barcelona and other European cities although, for the moment, they do not fly in Madrid, «we are looking at all possible options», has said.
The inaugural flight of the brand will depart from El Prat at 15.40 and is at full capacity, with 314 passengers aboard the new Airbus A330. Also inaugurated today is the Barcelona – San Francisco route, and next June 10, 2017 will open the route to Barcelona – Punta Cana and on June 17, 2017 Barcelona – Buenos Aires. The aircraft used will be the A330 with 314 pax, 293 Economy seats and 21 Premium Economy seats.
The IAG Group is studying other destinations such as the Asian market and operating from Rome-Fiumicino and Paris-Orly airports as «more interesting» options to expand its new operating model. It plans to incorporate a total of five Airbus A330 aircraft by 2018. A \ W
