Primer Airbus A350-900 de Delta Air Lines ha salido del taller de pintura en Toulouse, con el transportista planeando debutar el avión en vuelos a Asia desde octubre. La aeronave (MSN 115) está programada para ser entregada a la aerolínea con sede en Atlanta en julio, debido a que entrará en servicio en vuelos de Asia a Detroit desde octubre, dijeron ejecutivos.

Delta configurará sus A350 con 306 plazas, incluyendo 32 en negocios, 48 en economía premium y 226 en economía. La aerolínea usará el A350 para reemplazar a los viejos Boeing 747-400s, los cuales están programados para su retiro para el final del año. Delta tiene pedidos firmes para 25 A350, con 15 para 2019 y el resto a partir de 2022.

Delta Air Lines first Airbus A350-900 has rolled out of the paint shop in Toulouse, with the carrier planning to debut the aircraft on flights to Asia from October. The aircraft (MSN 115) is scheduled for delivery to the Atlanta-based carrier in July, with it due to enter service on flights to Asia from Detroit in October, executives have said.

Delta will configure its A350s with 306 seats, including 32 in business, 48 in premium economy and 226 in economy. The airline will use the A350 to replace aging Boeing 747-400s, which are scheduled for retirement by the end of the year.
