Las líneas aéreas han dado los pulgares para arriba a los planes por el gobierno escocés para substituir el Air Passenger Duty con un nuevo nivel de Air Departure Tax

Airlines UK, el organismo de la industria que representa a las aerolíneas británicas, dijo que esperaba detalles de la banda ADT y las tasas, que se deben a finales de este año, «con gran interés». Las nuevas bandas impositivas se aplicarán a partir del 1 de abril de 2018.

Airlines UK, the industry body that represents UK carriers, said it awaited details of the ADT banding and rates, which are due later this year, “with keen interest”. The new tax bands will apply from April 1, 2018.

Scottish finance secretary Derek Mackay said: “Our airports are competing on a world stage to secure new routes and capacity». “Reducing the tax burden helps ensure a more level playing field with many other European airports competing to secure the same airlines and similar routes». “New routes will enhance business connectivity and tourism as well as providing new jobs.”
