Flybondi avanza instalación de hub en Córdoba y levanta vuelo en octubre 2017

El CEO de la Flybondi, Julian Cook, confirmó que el hub estará inicialmente en el Aeropuerto Internacional Ambrosio Taravella de la Ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina. El proyecto de la base en El Palomar (Buenos Aires) también sería su base de operaciones.

El CEO de la nueva aerolínea low-cost Flybondi, Julian Cook, confirmó los planes de iniciar en el Aeropuerto Internacional Ambrosio Taravella las operaciones. La línea aérea ha incorporado dos Boeing 737-800 en régimen de leasing para cubrir rutas de cabotaje en Argentina. La inversión hasta 2018 será de US$ 75 millones.

Plan inicial de operaciones
El plan inicial es operar rutas de cabotaje desde Córdoba conectará ciudades como Buenos Aires, Tucumán, Salta y Mendoza y con stop (destino final) en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Bariloche o Iguazú podrían estar entre las asignadas en esta primera etapa.

Las certificaciones ante la ANAC están avanzadas y finiquitando con el Gobierno de la Provincia deCórdoba para mejorar las condiciones operativas para la instalación del hub de operaciones.

Selección RRHH
La selección de la tripulación de cabina se realizó en Córdoba. «Hay más de 200 personas con potencial que se han presentado y ya hemos preseleccionado entre 25 y 30 que tomarán el primer curso en agosto», expresó Julian Cook. Uno de los puntos claves que resaltó es que para ser más eficientes la intención de la compañía es que los pilotos vuelen más horas (75 horas al mes) pagandole un plus por productividad.

Plan global de negocios
El plan de negocios de la compañía muestra que en los próximos cinco años buscará duplicar el mercado aerocomercial y transportar 10 millones de pasajeros con los precios más bajos del mercado. Dentro de este plan, generará 1.500 nuevos empleos directos y 20.000 indirectos.

Dentro de sus inversores, Flybondi cuenta con un grupo de ejecutivos de larga trayectoria en el rubro aerocomercial; entre ellos, Mike Powell, ex CFO de Wizzair; Montie Brewer, ex CEO de Air Canada; Michael Cawley, ex COO Ryanair, y Robert Wright, ex Flybaboo & Wizzair.

Flybondi, CEO Julian Cook confirmed that the hub will initially be at the Ambrosio Taravella International Airport in the City of Cordoba, Argentina. The base project at El Palomar (Buenos Aires) would also be its base of operations.
