La aerolínea china Hainan Airlines iniciará vuelos entre Beijing y Dublín en Junio 2018

La compañía china Hainan Airlines comenzará los primeros vuelos directos entre Beijing (China) y Dublín (Irlanda) a partir de Junio 2018. La aerolínea de China impulsará las relaciones comerciales y turísticas entre Irlanda y la segunda economía más grande del mundo.

Estos vuelos se han realizado gracias al enorme esfuerzo de la embajada de Irlanda en Beijing y Tourism Ireland. Tienen un enorme potencial para expandir tanto el turismo como los negocios entre Irlanda y China. Los vuelos directos comenzarán el 12 de Junio 2018, también darían un gran impulso al comercio, ya que permitirían que los servicios financieros y las empresas tecnológicas de China tengan acceso al mercado irlandés. La ruta inicialmente incluirá cuatro vuelos de Hainan Airlines por semana, con dos vuelos sin escalas a Pekín y dos que pararán en Edimburgo para hacer una corta escala para recoger pasajeros adicionales antes de continuar hacia Pekín. Los vuelos directos Beijing-Dublín operarán los jueves y domingos, mientras que el servicio Pekín-Edimburgo-Dublín operará los martes y sábados.

El director administrativo del aeropuerto de Dublín, Vincent Harrison, dijo que el vuelo era «enormemente significativo» para la economía irlandesa. «La nueva ruta de Hainan entre Dublín y Pekín vincula no solo nuestras dos ciudades capitales, sino también nuestros dos condados. The Chinese company Hainan Airlines will begin the first direct flights between Beijing (China) and Dublin (Ireland) from June 2018. China’s airline will boost commercial and tourism relations between Ireland and the second largest economy in the world.

These flights have been made thanks to the enormous effort of the Irish Embassy in Beijing and Tourism Ireland. They have enormous potential to expand both tourism and business between Ireland and China. The direct flights will begin on June 12, 2018, they would also give a great boost to the trade, since they would allow the financial services and the technological companies of China to have access to the Irish market. The route will initially include four Hainan Airlines flights per week, with two nonstop flights to Beijing and two that will stop in Edinburgh to make a short stopover to pick up additional passengers before continuing to Beijing. Direct Beijing-Dublin flights will operate on Thursdays and Sundays, while the Beijing-Edinburgh-Dublin service will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The managing director of Dublin Airport, Vincent Harrison, said the flight was «enormously significant» for the Irish economy. «The new Hainan route between Dublin and Beijing links not only our two capital cities, but also our two counties, which is great news for tourism and trade, and this enhanced connectivity will create new jobs throughout Ireland», said Harrison.

Hainan Airlines is the largest independent airline in China with 300 aircraft and last year transported nearly 72 million passengers to 110 destinations. Hainan Airlines is owned by HNA, the aviation financial services company that bought the Irish aircraft leasing company Avolon in 2016 for € 2.25 billion, in an agreement that ultimately cost close to € 7 billion. HNA has recently had problems with a growing debt problem and has been trying to raise cash.
