Paranair inició oficialmente desde ayer lunes las operaciones en Paraguay

Paranair es una aerolínea de bandera paraguaya. El acto oficial, que incluyó el tradicional bautismo del avión en el Aeropuerto Internacional Silvio Pettirossi, contó con la presencia de representantes de la Dirección Nacional de Aeronáutica Civil (DINAC) y de la mencionada empresa.

Air Nostrum y Avmax iniciaron un joint-venture con la línea aérea de Paraguay. Air Nostrum es una aerolínea feeder regional de España que permite emplear su flota de aeronaves en el ámbito doméstico y Avmax es una empresa canadiense de prestaciones de servicios de aviación que incluye alquiler de aeronaves, operaciones de líneas aéreas, aviónica, reparaciones de componentes, ingeniería, MRO, pintura y requisitos de repuestos.

Paranair prevé mantener las rutas internacionales que venía operando la firma, Amaszonas del Paraguay, como el caso de Curitiba, San Pablo, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Salta e Iquique. A estas rutas se añadirán otros destinos estacionales en determinados periodos que comunicarán Asunción con Punta del Este, Florianópolis y Río de Janeiro.

El nombre escogido para la nueva aerolínea es para plasmar la vocación de comunicar países y personas, tal como tradicionalmente los ríos han comunicado y comunican a pueblos conectados por sus cauces. La denominación resulta una clara evocación del río Paraná.
