SLM negocia arrendamiento Airbus A330-200

La aerolínea Surinam Airways (SLM) está en conversaciones con una compañía de arrendamiento sobre el posible alquiler de un Airbus A330-200 (1), que anteriormente pertenecía a la flota de la aerolínea holandesa KLM Airlines. En un seguimiento de flota disponible, involucraría a la aeronave matrícula PH-AOM o al PH-AON. La nueva aeronave tiene por objetivo emplearla en operaciones transatlánticas para vuelos entre Surinam y los Países Bajos, para los cuales ahora se alquila temporalmente un Airbus A340-300 (1) a Air Belgium.

Surinam Airways no ha tenido su propio avión para esta ruta por un tiempo, luego de la baja comercial del Boeing 777-200ER que ha sido devuelto a Boeing en Marzo 2021. KLM Airlines puso en funcionamiento su primer A330-200 en 2005. En noviembre de 2019, el presidente ejecutivo de Air France-KLM, Ben Smith, anunció que KLM se despediría de la flota de A330 de una vez por todas y que esta flota debería eliminarse gradualmente para 2025.

SLM negotiates Airbus A330-200 lease

The airline Surinam Airways (SLM) is in talks with a leasing company about the possible rental of an Airbus A330-200 (1), which previously belonged to the fleet of the Dutch airline KLM Airlines. In an available fleet tracking, it would involve the aircraft registration PH-AOM or PH-AON. The new aircraft is intended to be used in transatlantic operations for flights between Suriname and the Netherlands, for which an Airbus A340-300 (1) is now being leased temporarily from Air Belgium.
