EVE y CAAP diseñarán ecosistema de servicio y soporte para UAM

EVE se ha asociado con el operador aeroportuario Corporación América Airports (CAAP) para diseñar e integrar un ecosistema de servicio y soporte para las operaciones de movilidad aérea urbana (UAM) en Europa y América Latina. Las dos compañías han firmado un memorando de entendimiento (MoU) que, según dicen, “combinará su experiencia y esfuerzos para evaluar la preparación de la infraestructura terrestre para las operaciones eléctricas de despegue y aterrizaje vertical (eVTOL) en los aeropuertos, incluidos los estudios del entorno regulatorio”. El ecosistema que las dos compañías planearán conjuntamente incluye el desarrollo de infraestructura y operaciones terrestres, aeropuertos y la integración de diferentes modos de transporte, en línea con los requisitos de las diversas autoridades reguladoras en los seis países donde CAAP opera cincuenta y tres aeropuertos.

Martin Eurnekian, CEO de Corporación América Airports dijo: “Los próximos cinco años probablemente serán decisivos en la forma en que nos movemos desde y a través de las ciudades, y la aviación volverá a desempeñar un papel de liderazgo. CAAP ahora quiere ser un actor clave en el segmento UAM, identificando los desafíos y oportunidades para mejores contextos operativos, de infraestructura y seguros”.

EVE también firmó recientemente una carta de intención a principios de este mes con Falcon Air Services de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos, para la provisión de 35 aviones eVTOL para su uso como transporte aéreo urbano en Dubai.

EVE has partnered with the airport operator Corporación América Airports (CAAP) to design and integrate a service and support ecosystem for urban air mobility (UAM) operations in Europe and Latin America. The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that they say will “combine their experience and efforts to assess the readiness of ground infrastructure for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) operations at airports, including studies of the regulatory environment”. The ecosystem that the two companies will jointly plan includes the development of infrastructure and ground operations, airports, and the integration of different modes of transportation, in line with the requirements of the various regulatory authorities in the six countries where CAAP operates fifty-three airports.

Martin Eurnekian, CEO of Corporación América Airports said: “The next five years will likely be decisive in how we move to and through cities, with aviation once again playing a leading role. CAAP now wants to be a key player in the UAM segment, identifying the challenges and opportunities for better operating, infrastructure and insurance contexts”.

EVE also recently signed a letter of intent earlier this month with Falcon Air Services of the United Arab Emirates, for the provision of 35 eVTOL aircraft for use as urban air transport in Dubai.
