Aniversario Cataratas Iguazú como Maravilla Natural del Mundo
Aerolíneas low cost festejan con tarifas convenientes
Cada 11 de Noviembre se conmemora la fecha en la cual las Cataratas del Iguazú ubicadas en la República Argentina, fueron consagradas como una de las siete Maravillas Naturales del Mundo. La Provincia de Misiones donde se encuentran emplazadas, invita a una serie de festejos que se darán en diferentes puntos del país. El 11 de noviembre de 2011 las Cataratas del Iguazú fueron elegidas como una de las Nuevas Siete Maravillas Naturales del Mundo en una votación en la que participaron más de mil millones de personas durante todo ese año. Para celebrar el undécimo aniversario como uno de los atractivos naturales más importantes del mundo, la Provincia de Misiones organizó una serie de actividades y festejos.
Aquellos que estén planificando viajar a las Cataratas pueden beneficiarse del Cataratas Day. Las aerolíneas Flybondi Líneas Aéreas y JetSMART Airlines Argentina lanzarán un código promocional de 24 hs. con 20% y 30% respectivamente para aquellos pasajeros que compren sus vuelos de manera online el día Viernes 11 de Noviembre de 2022 con destino a Puerto Iguazú, además de obtener con su compra un voucher de entrada gratuita al Parque Nacional Iguazú para ser utilizado hasta el 11/05/2023.
Las aerolíneas que operan en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Cataratas del Iguazú les comunicarán en el mensaje de bienvenida a sus pasajeros la conmemoración del día e invitarán a que participen durante su estadía compartiendo sus fotos y videos con el hashtag #CataratasDay. 
Actividades
La primera gran opción para aquellos que disfrutan de tener buenos recuerdos fotográficos es el Photo Open donde el reconocido fotógrafo Efrain Dávila estará dando una exposición a los presentes con once tips para que los retratos de Las Cataratas sean realmente una Maravilla. La Convención GEA donde la provincia de Misiones hará una presentación de promoción del Parque Nacional Iguazú en el acceso al evento, con una producción audiovisual sobre el escenario principal cuando el reloj marque las 11:11 hs [hora local Argentina], hora exacta en la cual Las Cataratas del Iguazú fueron consagradas como una de las Maravillas Naturales del Mundo. La celebración continúa con el Desfile de la Ruta del Diseño Misionero. Esta actividad invita a encontrarse en el Centro de Convenciones del Amerian Portal del Iguazú con más de 17 diseñadores misioneros que presentarán sus colecciones en el marco de los festejos, con la participación especial del reconocido diseñador internacional Benito Fernández. Un clásico del turismo en la Argentina es recibir al primer turista de la temporada de una manera especial, en este caso se recibirá distintivamente al turista número once en el Parque Nacional Iguazú mientras que en simultáneo se llevará a cabo un acto conmemorativo binacional en el Puente Tancredo Neves, ambas acciones en conjunto con el Iguazú Turismo Ente Municipal. Por último en este nuevo aniversario del Cataratas Day la Escuela de Negocios de Silicon Misiones invita a una charla presencial con el Ingeniero y Profesor Fausto García. La misma ofrecerá un espacio de reflexión y conversación para discutir lo importante que es concebir y entender el servicio como un agregado de valor, cuáles son los desafíos operativos y humanos que se presentan y cómo hacer para brindar una ventaja estratégica que resulte difícil de copiar.
Como sucedió en ediciones anteriores de este festejo los residentes de las catorce ciudades aledañas al Parque Iguazú, que forman parte del Pase Comunitario, tendrán acceso gratuito el 11 de noviembre. La entrada se liberará previa presentación de un comprobante de residencia y una identificación con foto. El Iturem (Iguazú Turismo Ente Municipal) de Puerto Iguazú contará con un stand de promoción en la rotonda de acceso a la ciudad de las Cataratas, lindante al parador y el cartel donde los visitantes suelen sacarse fotos. Allí el equipo recibirá a los turistas con reviro, chipitas, mate cocido, regalos y música, dando promoción también a las localidades de Wanda, Puerto Libertad, Puerto Esperanza y Andresito. La Provincia de Misiones invita a seguir el festejo del día de Las Cataratas por redes sociales bajo el hashtag #CataratasDay no solo para no perderse nada de lo que pase sino porque entre todos los posteos de la jornada se sorteará un premio de tres noches para dos personas en un hotel de selva de Puerto Iguazú.
