Ethiopian Airlines estrena el primer Airbus A350 XWB de su flota
El primer Airbus A350 XWB de la flota de la compañía y de todo el continente africano, es denominado “Montañas Simen”, en referencia al sistema que se extiende al norte de Etiopía.
Dentro del nuevo A350, todos los asientos están equipados con monitores personales con pantalla táctil con las últimas innovaciones en alta definición, además de una mayor selección de películas, series de televisión y canales de audio. Durante el vuelo será posible la conexión Wi-Fi en un futuro próximo. Los pasajeros con dispositivos inteligentes podrán conectarse con el resto del mundo, mientras que los otros podrán utilizar las pantallas táctiles de sus asientos cuando empiece a estar operativo el servicio de Internet.
El Sr. Tewolde Gebremariam, CEO del grupo Ethiopian Airlines, ha dicho «estamos muy contentos de que Ethiopian sea líder en África y se haya convertido en una de las pocas aerolíneas del mundo interesadas en invertir en un aparato con la tecnología más avanzada y eficiente. Operar la flota más joven de la industria con características modernas y confortables en cabina es uno de los cuatro pilares de nuestra visión 2025 y la inclusión del A-350 es uno de los componentes de esta estrategia. También nos hemos asegurado de que nuestro avión esté diseñado y configurado para superar las expectativas de nuestros clientes. Ethiopian ha encargado 14 aviones Airbus A350 y continuará recibiendo los 13 restantes pronto, aumentando constantemente el número de aviones Airbus en la flota con el fin de garantizar la mayor comodidad.
La tecnología innovadora del A350 XWB mejora el rendimiento en operación. Su revolucionario fuselaje y los sistemas simplificados han optimizado el consumo de combustible, los costes de mantenimiento y fiabilidad, y sus motores tienen las emisiones de dióxido de carbono CO2 más bajas de cualquier categoría de cuerpo ancho.
Desde el próximo 1 de Julio y hasta el 29 de Octubre, Ethiopian Airlines añade un vuelo semanal más a su ruta desde Madrid a Addis Abeba. Esta nueva frecuencia operará los jueves por lo que, unida a los vuelos de martes, viernes y domingos, ampliará la oferta de Ethiopian a cuatro vuelos a la semana.
