Emiratos A388 cerca de Mauricio el 14 de julio de 2017, descendió por debajo del nivel despejado causando la resolución TCAS

Un Emirates Airbus A380-800, registro A6-EOT realizando el vuelo EK-703 de Dubai (Emiratos Árabes Unidos) a Mauricio (Mauricio), estaba en ruta en FL400 cerca de 160nm al norte del aeropuerto de Mauricio cuando el ATC aconsejó a la tripulación de tráfico en dirección opuesta Despejado para subir al FL370, cruzando el tiempo en 13: 07Z. El ATC posteriormente despejó el vuelo para descender al FL380, la tripulación volvió a leer el FL360 que no fue corregido por el ATC.

Un Air Seychelles Airbus A330-200, registro S7-VDM realizando el vuelo HM-54 desde Mauricio (Mauricio) a Mahe Island (Seychelles), había sido autorizado para subir al FL370 y estaba subiendo a través de FL330 cuando los Emiratos descendieron a través de FL380.

Ambas tripulaciones fueron visuales entre sí, recibieron avisos de resolución TCAS, además HM-54 giró a la derecha. Los datos de posición de los transpondedores de ambos aviones sugieren que la separación horizontal entre el avión fue de unos 7,5 nm cuando ambos aviones pasaron a través de FL360 a 0 pies de separación vertical y fue de aproximadamente 4nm cuando la separación vertical entre el avión llegó a 1000 pies nuevamente con EK-703 FL360 y HM-54 se nivelan en FL370.

An Emirates Airbus A380-800, registration A6-EOT performing flight EK-703 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Mauritius (Mauritius), was enroute at FL400 about 160nm north of Mauritius Airport when ATC advised the crew of traffic in opposite direction being cleared to climb to FL370, crossing time at 13:07Z. ATC subsequently cleared the flight to descend to FL380, the crew read back FL360 which was not corrected by ATC.

An Air Seychelles Airbus A330-200, registration S7-VDM performing flight HM-54 from Mauritius (Mauritius) to Mahe Island (Seychelles), had been cleared to climb to FL370 and was climbing through FL330 when the Emirates descended through FL380.

Both crews were visual with each other, received TCAS resolution advisories, in addition HM-54 turned right. Position data off transponders of both aircraft suggest that the horizontal separation between the aircraft was about 7.5nm when both aircraft passed through FL360 at 0 feet vertical separation and was about 4nm when the vertical separation between the aircraft reached 1000 feet again with EK-703 below FL360 and HM-54 levelling off at FL370.
