EasyJet Europe ha iniciado como empresa en con base en Austria al otorgarle el certificado AOC austríaco y licencias concedidas

EasyJet Europe ha confirmado que ha obtenido el certificado de operador aéreo (AOC) por Austro Control y una licencia de explotación de línea aérea por el Ministerio Federal de Transporte, Innovación y Tecnología de Austria (BMVIT), lo que significa que EasyJet Europe ya es una compañía aérea en operaciones.

El primer avión registrado en easyJet Europe, OE-IVA, iniciará sus rutas comerciales desde Londres Luton a Viena, saliendo de Luton 07:00 hora del Reino Unido y aterrizando a las 10:35 hora local.

EasyJet pondrá a prueba la reinscripción de los restantes aviones, alrededor de 110 aviones, que se requieren para sus operaciones basadas en la Unión Europea (UE) durante los próximos dos inviernos. Este proceso se completará antes de que el Reino Unido abandone la UE.

El principal centro de negocios de EasyJet Europe estará en Viena y la dirección de easyJet Europa tendrá control operativo y supervisión financiera de la compañía. Thomas Haagensen, actual Director para Alemania, Austria y Suiza, ha sido nombrado director general de easyJet Europe.
