La situación de la crisis generalizada en Venezuela hace preveer una antesala al colapso de las compañías aéreas y el sistema comercial

La profundización de la crisis venezolana parece no tener piso. Los empresarios de la aviación han tenido que acudir a dólares en el mercado libre para mantener algunas de las aeronaves de sus flotas. Muchas compañías aéreas no podrán soportar la situación política y recurrirán a la canibalización de sus propias aeronaves es una necesidad ante la falta de liquidez para la compra de repuestos para sus aeronaves o de mantenimiento de sus flotas. Debido a la situación político-económica, han surgido asociaciones y compras por parte de hombres de negocios ligados al gobierno de turno para poder acceder a las divisas controladas o preferenciales. Otra modalidad gubernamental ante la escasez de dólares preferenciales fue permitir a las empresas que tienen vuelos internacionales poder vender en moneda estadounidense dejando esas divisas en el exterior para comprar repuestos para sus aviones.

Ante los precios regulados de las tarifas, el aumento del precio del combustible y el proceso inflacionario están carcomiendo el desarrollo aerocomercial y el cada vez más delicado tema de la seguridad en los aviones ponen en alerta una flota ya con varios años de antigüedad.
