United Airlines advierte a Frontier Airlines sobre su expansión de rutas

Frontier Airlines ha anunciado una importante expansión de las rutas, incluyendo el servicio sin escalas de 21 nuevas ciudades dentro del próximo año desde el Aeropuerto Internacional de Denver (DIA), posicionándose como la segunda mayor aerolínea del aeropuerto en términos del número de destinos directos.

Ese movimiento desencadenó una advertencia del presidente de United Airlines, Scott Kirby, cuya aerolínea es actualmente el número uno en el Aeropuerto de Denver. «Ahora están compitiendo en nuestro campo y tratando de ser un operador de red en Denver», dijo Kirby. «Esa es una batalla que garantizo que United ganará». Denver es el centro más rentable de United Airlines.

Frontier Airlines has announced a significant expansion of routes, including nonstop service from 21 new cities within the next year from Denver International Airport (DIA), positioning itself as the second largest airline at the airport in terms of the number of direct destinations.

That move triggered a warning from United Airlines president Scott Kirby, whose airline is currently number one at Denver Airport. «They are now competing in our field and trying to be a network operator in Denver,» Kirby said. «That’s a battle that I guarantee United will win».  Denver is the most profitable center of United Airlines.
