Airbus releva a su consejero delegado y al jefe de de la división comercial

Airbus anunció este viernes que proyecta reestructurar su dirección, cambiando a sus dos máximos jefes, mientras prosiguen las investigaciones por presuntos casos de corrupción que fragilizan al gigante europeo de la aeronáutica.

Airbus ha decidido poner en marcha un proceso de «sucesión ordenada» que afecta al consejero delegado de la empresa, Tom Enders, y al director de operaciones y responsable de la división de aviones comerciales, Fabrice Brégier, en un momento marcado por las investigaciones iniciadas en Francia y Reino Unido por un presunto caso de sobornos mediante el pago de comisiones.

El primer ejecutivo y el responsable de la división de aviones comerciales dejarán la empresa en un momento marcado por las investigaciones por presuntos sobornos. Enders, de 59 años, no aspirará a un tercer mandato al frente de la compañía y abandonará el cargo en abril de 2019. Brégier dejará la empresa en febrero y será sustituido por Guillaume Faury, en la actualidad consejero delegado de la división de Helicópteros.

El consejero delegado lleva 14 años al frente de la compañía y ha transmitido al consejo de administración que ha llegado el momento de insuflar «aire fresco» al grupo de cara a los retos de 2020, anunció Airbus. Su trabajo ahora consistirá en preparar junto al nuevo consejero delegado la transición y escoger los «nuevos líderes» de la compañía.

Airbus buscará durante 2018 a su nuevo consejero delegado entre perfiles tanto internos como externos. Su intención es anunciar el nombre del sucesor en la junta de accionistas de 2019 en la que Enders abandone el cargo.

Grégier lleva 25 años en la compañía y ha sido uno de los responsables de los lanzamientos de modelos como el A350, el A320NEO o el A330NEO.

Airbus es objeto de investigaciones por parte de fiscalías financieras de Francia (PNF, Parquet National Financier) y de Reino Unido (SFO, Serious Fraud Office) por irregularidades en sus transacciones. Las investigaciones fueron lanzados el año pasado después de que el propio grupo Airbus expresara sospechas sobre tales irregularidades.

Aparte de las investigaciones en Francia y Reino Unido, Airbus reconoció recientemente que las autoridades estadounidenses habían hallado «inexactitudes» en las comunicaciones de su división militar en el país, sin haber detallado por el momento su impacto económico.

Airbus is subject to investigations by financial prosecutors of France (PNF, Parquet National Financier) and the United Kingdom (SFO, Serious Fraud Office) for irregularities in their transactions. The investigations were launched last year after the Airbus group itself expressed suspicions about such irregularities.
