Norwegian Air Argentina iniciará operaciones comerciales en Junio 2018
La compañía aérea low-cost Norwegian Air Argentina iniciará su star-up en Junio de 2018 en vuelos de cabotaje, y desde Octubre 2018 en vuelos internacionales, tras obtener del gobierno la aprobación de 152 rutas para operar, y prevé emplear a 300 pilotos en dos años.
El Director de Comunicaciones y Asuntos Públicos de la compañía, Matías Maciel, dijo que el Ministerio de Transporte “ya emitió la resolución por la que nos dieron la concesión de 152 rutas aéreas, de las cuales 72 serán de cabotaje y 80 internacionales”. Prevé emplear a 300 pilotos en dos años y tener a fines de 2019 entre 10 y 15 aviones Boeing 737-800 en el país.
Mercado “Low-cost”
Matías Maciel indicó que Norwegian “va a operar de acuerdo a la legislación Argentina de tarifas mínimas”, aunque estimó que “aunque no es posible hacerlo por debajo de esos precios hay algunas ventanas que podrían abrirse para pasajes por debajo de esos precios. Lógicamente deseamos que se revisen las restricciones, pero es una decisión que tomarán las autoridades, nosotros vamos a operar de acuerdo a la legislación local”. Consideró que una desregulación tarifaria “ayudaría a desarrollar el sector, ha dinamizarlo y fortalecerlo, pero esa es una decisión que excede a la compañía”. En este sentido indicó que la decisión del gobierno “de dinamizar el sector e incorporar nuevos jugadores y el objetivo de duplicar los pasajeros en cuatro años es una gran noticia para todos los argentinos”.
Por otra parte estimó que la apertura aerocomercial “puede ayudar a dinamizar las economías regionales, al haber más jugadores compitiendo, con más rutas volando por todo el país y tener más conectividad ayudará sin dudas al desarrollo del país, en términos de nuevas empresas y negocios. Se va a estimular y promover la llegada de extranjeros en términos de turismo. Nuestra compañía tiene una red en todo el mundo, con operaciones en todos los continentes, que va a resultar un alimentador para estimular a turistas que hoy, por distancia y falta de ofertas, sería difícil que arriben a la Argentina”, agregó.

El Director de Comunicaciones resaltó que Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA es una compañía “con altísimos estándares de seguridad, con una flota de modernos aviones que tienen un promedio de antigüedad de tres años y medio, que permite en gran medida un modelo de eficiencia”.
La calidad y eficiencia de trabajo de los países nórdicos es muy conocida en el ámbito laboral. Las aerolíneas del escudo escandinavo son conocidas por su eficiencia y alta calidad de servicio al pasajero. En cuanto a las normas en seguridad operativa, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA y Finnair figuran entre las aerolíneas más seguras del mundo según stándares de monitoreos anuales de la IATA, OACI y la ONU.

La compañía ha anunciado que en Enero 2018 llegará al país el primer avión Boeing 737-800 que será afectado a vuelos domésticos. El Boeing 737-8JP (msn 42278/ 6347) realizó su primer vuelo el 31 Marzo 2017 y recibió registro EI-FVO que operaba en Irlanda. El primer Boeing 737-800 tendrá matrícula LV-HQH.
La apertura de las operaciones se han pospuestas para Junio 2018, aunque no hay información o detalles sobre la demora en el inicio de las operaciones, si está relacionada a la puesta a punto de la aerolínea. Según explicó la compañía está enfocada actualmente en todos los pasos operativos, obtenciones de certificados, la implementación de los equipos de venta de pasajes y la logística aerocomercial. Para mitad de año, la star-up estaría operando entre dos a cuatro Boeing 737-800 y un Boeing 787-8 para vuelos internacionales (transatlánticos). Norwegian Air Argentina estima concluir el 2018 con una flota entre 10 a 15 aeronaves.

La empresa matríz noruega informó además que en Febrero 2018 próximo la filial inglesa de Norwegian realizará el primer vuelo entre Londres y Buenos Aires, con cuatro frecuencias semanales entre ambos países.
