El Aeropuerto El Palomar de Argentina ha quedado habilitado para las operaciones aerocomerciales
Las instalaciones del nuevo Aeropuerto El Palomar en la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina están finalizadas para el inicio de los vuelos comerciales el 9 de febrero 2018. La sala de espera, los mostradores para las compañías áreas y las cintas para equipajes se construyeron en tiempo record, a pesar de un amparo judicial interpuesto por el Juzgado Federal de San Martín que impedía el avance de las obras. La nueva aeroestación es parte de la concesión de Aeropuertos Argentina 2000.
El nuevo Aeropuerto El Palomar ha quedado terminado para el inicio de sus operaciones aerocomerciales, pero deberá aguardar los resultados del estudio de impacto sonoro, tras una medida cautelar impuesta por los vecinos del área.
La semana anterior se realizaron pruebas sonoras con un Hércules C130 y un Fokker F28 Mk-1000 de la Fuerza Aérea para evaluar el real impacto sonoro que tiene el aeropuerto que, a pesar de los reclamos, viene operando ininterrumpidamente desde 1910. Ambos aviones militares generan un 80% más de decibeles (dB) que un Boeing 737. En el transcurso de la semana se conocerían públicamente los resultados.
La aerolínea Flybondi será la primera operadora aérea en este nuevo aeropuerto convertido para vuelos aerocomerciales en Argentina.
