Más de 40.000 personas visitaron Kuwait Aviation Show 2018

El Kuwait Aviation Show 2018 concluyó ayer con gran éxito y muchas ofertas firmadas. Según los organizadores, más de 40,000 personas visitaron el show de cuatro días, en el cual participaron 144 compañías locales e internacionales incluyendo 57 aviones. “Los visitantes disfrutaron de los espectáculos presentados por los aviones de la fuerza aérea de Kuwait, Solo Turk, Saudi Falcon y otros. Me sorprendió cuando vi personas en Subhan viendo las exhibiciones aéreas”, dijo el jefe del comité organizador, Ahmed Behbehani, durante una conferencia de prensa ayer.

El Kuwait Aviation Show se celebrará cada dos años. “El evento también fue exitoso gracias a la cooperación de varias autoridades, incluyendo el Ministerio de Defensa, el Ministerio del Interior, Amiri Diwan, la Dirección General de Aviación Civil, el Ministerio de Información y el gran apoyo de los medios”, agregó.

El consultor del comité organizador, el capitán Abdullah Bastaki, señaló que la gran cantidad de empresas que participaron en este evento significa su confianza e interés en el mercado kuwaití. “La industria de la aviación en Kuwait ha sido testigo de un gran desarrollo con megaproyectos por valor de más de KD 25 mil millones. Dentro de seis meses, estarán listos dos terminales: la terminal de soporte (T4) y la terminal Jazeera, que proporcionará un gran aumento en la capacidad, lo que demuestra el interés de nuestro gobierno en el campo de la aviación”, dijo.

El sector de la aviación es el principal motor de desarrollo en cualquier país. “Los aeropuertos de GCC y los transportistas nacionales son ejemplos, ya que sus tasas de crecimiento son las más altas del mundo, excepto en el Lejano Oriente, donde la población es muy alta. En Kuwait, por ejemplo, Kuwait Airways y Jazeera Airways registraron un crecimiento de más del 20 por ciento. Además, el sector de la aviación civil está creciendo en un 10 por ciento, aunque la tasa internacional es de alrededor del 5%”, subrayó Bastaki.

“El nuevo avión que llega a Kuwait impulsará la economía. No se trata solo de comprar el avión, sino también el servicio posventa. Este espectáculo energizó otros sectores en Kuwait también, como hoteles, centros comerciales y otros que fueron testigos de un aumento de visitantes del extranjero”, explicó.

Tareq Bastaki, Coordinador General del Salón de la Aviación de Kuwait, declaró que los preparativos para el espectáculo tomaron más de dos años. “Viajamos y participamos en varias ferias internacionales de aviación en Dubai, Francia y otros. Recibimos comentarios positivos de los participantes, y más del 50% de ellos nos aseguraron que participarán en el próximo Salón de Aviación de Kuwait que se celebrará en 2020”, señaló. “Este evento se considera un evento importante. Hubo algunos errores, pero es aceptable ya que esta es nuestra primera experiencia. El espectáculo aéreo tuvo un aspecto educativo: hacer que las personas tomen conciencia de lo que es una feria de aviación. A partir de la próxima semana, comenzaremos a trabajar en el programa 2020”, agregó.

“Este es el primer espectáculo de aviación organizado por una empresa privada en el mundo. Los participantes generalmente son cautelosos de participar en eventos privados y solo confían en los gubernamentales. Agradecemos la confianza de nuestro gobierno en este evento y su apoyo. Organizar un espectáculo de aviación es muy costoso, especialmente porque los costos de seguro y combustible deben pagarse por adelantado”, dijo Abdullah Bastaki.

El patrocinio de Su Alteza el Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah también estuvo detrás del éxito de este evento. “La asistencia superó mis expectativas ya que todos los invitados aceptaron la invitación e incluso tuvimos que imprimir 300 invitaciones adicionales. Tuvimos la idea o la organización de este programa hace unos 25 años, pero no encontramos una ubicación adecuada para ello. The Kuwait Aviation Show 2018 concluded yesterday with great success and many signed offers. The aviation sector is the main engine of development in any country. “GCC airports and domestic carriers are examples, as their growth rates are the highest in the world, except in the Far East, where the population is very high, in Kuwait, for example, Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways recorded growth of more than 20 percent, in addition, the civil aviation sector is growing by 10 percent, although the international rate is around 5%”, said Bastaki.

“The new plane that arrives in Kuwait will boost the economy, not just to buy the plane, but also the after-sales service. This show energized other sectors in Kuwait as well, such as hotels, shopping centers and others that witnessed an increase in visitors from abroad”, he explained.

Tareq Bastaki, General Coordinator of the Kuwait Airshow, said the preparations for the show took more than two years. “We traveled and participated in several international aviation fairs in Dubai, France and others, we received positive comments from the participants, and more than 50% of them assured us that they will participate in the next Kuwait Air Show to be held in 2020”, he pointed. “This event is considered an important event, there were some mistakes, but it is acceptable because this is our first experience. The air show had an educational aspect: to make people aware of what an aviation fair is. Next week, we will start working on the 2020 program”, he added.

“This is the first aviation show organized by a private company in the world. Participants are generally wary of participating in private events and only rely on government events, we appreciate the confidence of our government in this event and its support. Organize a show Aviation is very expensive, especially because insurance and fuel costs must be paid in advance”, said Abdullah Bastaki.

The patronage of His Highness Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was also behind the success of this event. “The attendance exceeded my expectations since all the guests accepted the invitation and we even had to print 300 additional invitations We had the idea or organization of this program about 25 years ago, but we did not find a suitable location for it.
