Fortune Magazine ha otorgado este miércoles 24 de Enero 2018 a la compañía aérea Delta Air Lines el galardón por quinto año consecutivo como una marca lider en el mundo de la aviación al premiarla como la “aerolínea más admirada” del mundo.

La Revista Fortune representa el ranking de las compañías más respetadas y con mejor reputación del mundo, según las calificaciones de sus homólogos corporativos.

El CEO de Delta, Ed Bastian, expresó que el galardón es un reconocimiento a la dedicación de las 80.000 personas que forman parte de la fuerza laboral de la aerolínea. La aerolínea ocupa el lugar número 1 en la lista de la industria por séptima vez en los últimos ocho años. “El arduo trabajo de todos ustedes ha llevado a que Delta alcance una reconocida reputación por su servicio al cliente del primer nivel, su excelencia operativa sin precedentes y una cultura que pone a las personas en primer lugar”, escribió en un memorando dirigido a todos los empleados, Ed Bastian.

“Alabama’s Aviation History” conmemora el 200 aniversarios del Estado de Alabama

La Comisión del Bicentenario de Alabama y Airbus anuncian la apertura de “Alabama’s Aviation History”, una exposición itinerante creada para ayudar a conmemorar el 200 aniversario del estado.

Patrocinado por Airbus, la exposición muestra la larga y significativa historia de Alabama en innovación y logros en aviación, aeronáutica y aeroespacial. Sus primeros comienzos son anteriores a la primera escuela de vuelo civil de los hermanos Wright, establecida en Montgomery en 1910, y su historia abarca ambas guerras mundiales, así como un papel fundamental en la investigación y exploración espacial.

“Alabama’s Aviation History” commemorates the 200th anniversary of the State of Alabama

The Alabama Bicentennial Commission and Airbus announce the opening of “Alabama’s Aviation History,” a traveling exhibition created to help commemorate the state’s 200th anniversary.

Sponsored by Airbus, the exhibition showcases Alabama’s long and significant history in aviation, aeronautics and aerospace innovation and achievement. Its earliest beginnings predate the famous Wright Brothers’ first civilian flying school, established in Montgomery in 1910, and its history embraces both world wars, as well as a pivotal ongoing role in space research and exploration.

The exhibit opens Friday at Alabama Shakespeare Festival in conjunction with the Alabama premiere of “Fly”, a play about the Tuskegee Airmen. According to ASF, the exhibit will be open noon-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, as well as to ticket holders of “Fly.”

Michelle Hurdle of Airbus notes that the exhibition celebrates a history that helped bring Airbus to Alabama. “Airbus found a real home in Alabama where innovation and excellence are traditions. The exhibition will help tell that story to people all over the state”, she said.

The exhibition will go on to tour the state through a partnership with the Alabama Community College System. ACCS is coordinating the exhibition and providing exhibition sites with the support of the Alabama Humanities Foundation, which has helped plan the project and oversees transportation.

ACCS provides some of the most extensive and up-to-date training and education in aviation and related fields. According to Michael McDaniel, director of ACCS aviation programs, “not only will the exhibition tell a fascinating story about what Alabama has done in the past, but we hope it will inspire young people to pursue careers in the aviation and aeronautics workforce”.

Taiwán ha denegado derechos de tráfico aéreo adicional a China Eastern Airlines y Xiamen Airlines

The move follows a unilateral decision made by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), which opened four routes near the disputed maritime border with Taiwan for civil aviation in early January 2018. Taiwan argues that by allowing traffic to the north use route M503, as well as activating the three extension routes W121, W122 and W123 for air traffic, China has violated the terms of a 2015 agreement between Beijing and Taipei.

China Eastern Airlines has requested 106 additional flights in February and Xiamen Airlines has requested to operate 70 additional flights, the CAA said on Friday. La aerolínea Korean Air lanzó servicios comerciales con el Bombardier CS-300

Korean Air lanzó ha iniciado la programación de lso servicios con el nuevo Bombardier CS-300 el 20 de Enero 2018.

La aerolínea coreana comenzó el vuelo inaugural con el nuevo Bombardier CS-300 (msn 55018) el 20 de Enero 2018 en la ruta de Seúl Gimpo—Ulsan, y el segundo CS-300 (msn 55019) efectuó su vuelo inaugural poco después en la ruta Gimpo—Pohang.

Los CS300 están programados para operar desde Seoul Gimpo a Ulsan (22 veces por semana), Pohang (13 veces por semana), Jinju (8 veces por semana), Jeju (6 veces por semana) y Yeosu / Suncheon (1 vez por semana) durante la semana que comienza el 29 de Enero 2018.

Korean Air espera recibir otros ocho aviones del tipo en 2018. Los CS300s entrantes se usarán para reemplazar parcialmente los B737-800 , de los cuales la aerolínea actualmente opera quince.

Incidente vuelo FO 2710 de Flybondi Líneas Aéreas

El incidente aéreo ocurrió en el Aeropuerto Internacional Córdoba Ambrosio Taravella, donde el vuelo FO 2710 de Flybondi debía despegar a las 11:00 hs de la mañana. Según los registros del aeropuerto, el avión despegó a las 11:23 hs y el vuelo duró solo 11 minutos.

Desde la aerolínea explicaron que no se trataba de un vuelo inaugural, sino de prueba antes de comenzar a operar los vuelos comerciales. Flybondi comenzará sus operaciones el día viernes desde Córdoba hasta Iguazú.

“El vuelo fue ejecutado con éxito, y en el mismo certificamos la completa aptitud de nuestra aeronave, Nelson, para volar, sin ningún detalle técnico”, dijeron. También presentaron un video.

Tras la polémica por el fallido vuelo inaugural con tripulación y familiares, Flybondi emitió un comunicado en las redes sociales en el que volvió a desmentir que hayan tenido inconvenientes y destacaron que una segunda prueba se realizó correctamente. Incluso difundieron el video de su único avión despegando y aterrizando del Aeropuerto de Córdoba.

“Nunca hubo un aterrizaje de emergencia ni tampoco fallas en los motores”, dijo en sus redes sociales la primera línea aérea low cost de Argentina. Así desmienten incluso a su propio piloto quien en un video que se viralizó detalló que “tenía ilusiones de hacer un lindo vuelo pero las circunstancias fueron otras y la seguridad prima. Les pido disculpas por el corto vuelito”.

Para Flybondi ese “fue un inconveniente técnico menor, tratado por nuestro comandante con absoluto profesionalismo. Se siguió el protocolo establecido para estos casos, que garantiza la seguridad de nuestros pasajeros y tripulación. Por esta razón, el vuelo de prueba pautado para tener una duración de 20 minutos, modificó su extensión a 12”.
