Aerolíneas Aerolíneas invierte US$30 millones para renovar sus hangares en Aeroparque y Ezeiza

Aerolíneas Argentinas invertirá US$ 30 millones de dólares destinados a nuevas obras en sus hangares localizados en Aeroparque y Ezeiza. Encuentran pieza de Boeing 747 del accidente aéreo Los Rodeos de 1977

El accidente de Los Rodeos es una de las tragedias aéreas las importantes del mundo, el choque entre dos aviones Boeing 747 que se produjo el 27 Marzo 1977 en el Aeropuerto de Los Rodeos (actualidad Tenerife Norte), en el norte de la isla española de Tenerife, en el que murieron 583 personas. Es el accidente aéreo con mayor número de víctimas mortales de la historia de la aviación.

Los aviones siniestrados fueron el Boeing 747-200 del vuelo KLM 4805, vuelo chárter de la línea aérea holandesa KLM, cubría la ruta desde el Aeropuerto Los Rodeos hacia el Aeropuerto de Schiphol en Ámsterdam (Países Bajos). El Boeing 747-200 del vuelo PAA 1736, vuelo regular de Pan Am Airways, retornaba para los Estados Unidos.

Las tareas de desbroce de un terreno del Municipio de La Laguna, donde se encuentra el Aeropuerto de Los Rodeos, han sacado a la luz una pieza metálica hecha con uranio empobrecido perteneciente a uno de los Boeing 747 del accidente aéreo que tuvo lugar en la isla en 1977, según ha informado este lunes la Policía Nacional a través de un comunicado. Se trata de un contrapeso utilizado en las superficies de mando de un avión comercial, fabricado con uranio empobrecido, una sustancia que presenta una baja tasa de radiactividad, según ha precisado la Jefatura Superior de Policía de Canarias.

Como marcan los protocolos se acotó la zona y se anuncia ahora que la pieza será próximamente extraída por personal especializado dada su escasa capacidad radiactiva. Todo ello, detalla la Policía, después de realizar mediciones de radiación en la zona» e iniciar las gestiones oportunas para dar conocimiento al Consejo de Seguridad Nuclear para darle el tratamiento adecuado, activándose el protocolo previsto por el Plan de Atención de Emergencias por Riesgo Radiológico (Radican).
