Indonesia desarrollo avión regional Aviasi R80 en cuarentena
El proyecto de desarrollo del avión regional turboprop 80 pasajeros indonesia Aviasi Regional R80 ha sido cancelado por parte del Gobierno de Indonesia, eliminando del Proyecto Estratégico Nacional (PSN) del Gobierno para el programa 2020-2024 bajo el Presidente Joko Widodo. El motivo de la cancelación del prototipo ha sido anunciado por el Presidente comisionado de PT Regio Aviasi Industri, Ilham Habibie, que ha admitido que tuvo una audiencia con el Ministro Coordinador de Economía, Airlangga Hartarto, en relación con la retirada del R80 del PSN, no pudiendo permanecer en el programa de aviación. «Se nos dio información de que, especialmente con respecto a las políticas gubernamentales, todos los proyectos que todavía están en PSN deben completarse para el 2024. Por supuesto que no podemos cumplirlo y, por tanto, sí, ya no podemos clasificarnos para PSN», dijo Ilham Habibie, en una charla virtual, el Viernes 08/07. Se ha admitido que era imposible cumplir con el objetivo de completar el R80 en 2024. Esto se debe a que el desarrollo de aviones requiere un proceso que no se puede realizar en poco tiempo.
PT Regio Aviasi Industri ha expresado que el Gobierno continúa apoyando el desarrollo del R80 a través del proceso o procedimiento R80. El apoyo se obtuvo a través del papel del Ministerio de Investigación y Tecnología y la Agencia Nacional de Investigación e Innovación. No dio más detalles sobre el apoyo brindado. Lo que está claro, este apoyo no es en forma de asistencia financiera. «La presencia de R80 en la lista de PSN desde el principio es de hecho con una nota, que el gobierno no está de acuerdo con financiar R80 y nuestra presencia allí se entiende más como apoyo para encontrar inversores, no para recibir inversiones. Así que nosotros, con o sin estar en la lista de PSN, confió para la financiación de R80», dijo Ilham Habibie.
El Proyecto R80 se eliminó de la PSN y se reemplazó con el desarrollo de un avión no tripulado de combate que también se está probando. El avión regional R80 fue iniciado por el tercer presidente BJ Habibie a través de la bandera privada de PT Regio Aviasi Industri (RAI) como sucesor del desarrollo del avión turbohélice N250, que se retrasó durante la crisis de 1998. BJ Habibie se había convertido en Presidente de PT RAI.

PT Regio Aviasi Industri has stated that the Government continues to support the development of R80 through the R80 process or procedure. Alasan pembatalan prototipe tersebut sudah disampaikan oleh Presiden Komisaris PT Regio Aviasi Industri, Ilham Habibie yang mengaku sempat audiensi dengan Menteri Koordinator Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto terkait penarikan R80 dari PSN. tidak bisa tinggal di program penerbangan. «Kami diberi informasi, terutama terkait dengan kebijakan pemerintah, semua proyek yang masih di PSN dijadwalkan selesai pada 2024. Tentu kami tidak bisa memenuhi itu dan oleh karena itu ya kami tidak bisa lagi lolos ke PSN», kata Ilham Habibie, dalam virtual chat, Jumat 08/07. Diakui, target penyelesaian R80 tidak mungkin tercapai pada 2024. Pasalnya, pengembangan pesawat membutuhkan proses yang tidak bisa dilakukan dalam waktu singkat.
PT Regio Aviasi Industri telah menyatakan bahwa Pemerintah terus mendukung pengembangan R80 melalui proses atau prosedur R80. Dukungan diperoleh melalui peran Kementerian Riset dan Teknologi dan Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional. Dia tidak merinci dukungan yang diberikan. Yang jelas, dukungan ini bukan dalam bentuk bantuan finansial. “Kehadiran R80 di daftar PSN dari awal sebenarnya dengan catatan, bahwa pemerintah tidak setuju untuk membiayai R80 dan kehadiran kami di sana lebih dipahami sebagai dukungan untuk mencari investor, bukan untuk menerima investasi. Proyek R80 telah dihapus dari PSN dan diganti dengan pengembangan drone tempur yang juga sedang diuji. Pesawat regional R80 ini dimulai oleh presiden ketiga BJ Habibie melalui bendera pribadi PT Regio Aviasi Industri (RAI) sebagai penerus pengembangan pesawat turboprop N250 yang sempat tertunda saat krisis 1998. BJ Habibie pun menjadi Presiden Direktur PT RAI.
