Australiana Bonza recibe su primer Boeing 737 MAX
The Boeing Company ha entregado el primer Boeing 737-8 MAX a la aerolínea low cost australiana Bonza, una nueva línea aérea que se convierte en la primera aerolínea de Australia en volar el nuevo 737 MAX. El Lunes 01/08, la compañía realizó una ceremonia de llegada para conmemorar el hito y dar la bienvenida al avión a su base de Sunshine Coast. “Estamos más que emocionados de dar la bienvenida a nuestro primer 737 MAX al aeropuerto Sunshine Coast y, con tanto alboroto en todo el país por Bonza, esperamos que el día de hoy también sea emocionante para las comunidades a las que volaremos”, dijo Tim Jordan, Director Ejecutivo de Bonza.
“Este es un gran hito para Bonza y Boeing, ya que la aerolínea se une a muchos operadores de todo el mundo que han lanzado el servicio con el 737 MAX”, dijo Christy Reese, Vicepresidenta de Ventas Comerciales y Marketing de Asia Pacífico de Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
El 737-8 MAX permitirá a Bonza optimizar sus operaciones domésticas, mientras reduce el uso de combustible y las emisiones de carbono en un 20%. Bonza se ha comprometido a agregar siete aviones Boeing 737-8 MAX (7) a su flota dentro de su primer año de operación. La aerolínea está trabajando arduamente para comenzar los vuelos tan pronto como a fines de septiembre, sujeto a la aprobación regulatoria. La aerolínea también lanzó un concurso a nivel nacional en las plataformas de redes sociales para pedir a los lugareños que ayuden a nombrar sus aviones.

The 737-8 MAX will allow Bonza to streamline its domestic operations, while reducing fuel use and carbon emissions by 20%. Bonza has committed to adding seven Boeing 737-8 MAX (7) aircraft to its fleet within its first year of operation. The airline is working hard to start flights as soon as the end of September, subject to regulatory approval. The airline has also launched a nationwide contest on social media platforms to ask locals to help name their planes.
