SmartLynx Airlines planea incorporar 20 A321F en 2023

SmartLynx Airlines, con sede en Letonia, un operador global de vuelos chárter y de carga ACMI, ha anunciado la incorporación adicional de cuatro Airbus A321P2F (4) a su creciente flota de carga para garantizar vuelos en Europa, Asia, África y América del Sur. Con el tráfico aéreo de Latinoamérica dejando atrás la recuperación global de la industria, The Boeing Company destacó el Jueves 13/10 que la flota comercial de la región tiene un crecimiento proyectado de más de 85% para los próximos 20 años, impulsado por la fuerza de los viajes domésticos e intrarregionales. Demanda de 2.240 nuevos aviones; aviones de un solo pasillo constituyen más del 90% de la demanda hasta 2041. La región está superando la recuperación del tráfico aéreo global. La geografía y demografía de Latinoamérica son elementos claves en el crecimiento de la industria.

Uno de los países con potencial de crecimiento sostenido es Chile que está bien posicionado para una recuperación saludable, más allá de la alteración del mercado a corto plazo. Se ha dado un crecimiento fuerte en la aviación en Chile durante esta década, incitado por el aumento del ingreso familiar, con una mayor demanda entre Latinoamérica y Estados Unidos.

Boeing compartió el pronóstico de la región como parte de su informe de Panorama Comercial del Mercado (CMO), una proyección anual de veinte años de demanda de aviones comerciales y servicios. La proyección estima una demanda de 2.240 aviones nuevos en la región de Latinoamérica y el Caribe. De ese total, la entrega de más de 2.000 aviones de un pasillo excederá el doble de la flota actual para abastecer rutas de turismo populares, entre Norteamérica, México y el Caribe, y al mismo tiempo, se expandirán las redes intrarregionales.

“Latinoamérica ha visto una fuerte recuperación en tráfico aéreo, particularmente en el mercado doméstico, con las aerolíneas de la región impulsando exitosamente flotas de un pasillo para viajes cortos, y expandiendo el mercado global. Las aerolíneas continuarán navegando los desafíos de Latinoamérica para que el transporte aéreo sea más accesible y atractivo para los viajeros de la región”, dijo David Franson, Director Regional de Boeing para Pronóstico del Mercado.

Más de la mitad de la entrega de aviones nuevos se destinará al crecimiento en la aviación comercial en todo el continente, con las órdenes restantes reemplazando aviones más viejos con modelos más eficientes en combustibles, como el Boeing 737 MAX, Boeing 787 Dreamliner, y el Boeing 777X. En la década pasada, las aerolíneas latinoamericanas han abierto más de 200 pares de ciudades en toda la región, un antecedente para la futura demanda de aviones de un pasillo, que significará más del 90% de las entregas.

El pronóstico para Latinoamérica de 2022 hasta 2041 también incluye las siguientes proyecciones:
– Se espera que el tráfico de pasajeros en la región aumente 4,4% anualmente
– La demanda de servicios comerciales, incluyendo mantención y reparación, estará avaluada en US$ 165 mil millones

Forecast double fleets in Latin America/Caribbean next 20 years

With air traffic in Latin America leaving behind the global recovery of the industry, The Boeing Company highlighted on Thursday 10/13 that the region’s commercial fleet has a projected growth of more than 85% for the next 20 years, driven by the strength of the domestic and intra-regional travel. Demand for 2,240 new aircraft; single-aisle aircraft make up more than 90% of demand through 2041. The region is outpacing the recovery in global air traffic. The geography and demographics of Latin America are key elements in the growth of the industry.

One of the countries with the potential for sustained growth is Chile, which is well positioned for a healthy recovery, despite short-term market disruption. There has been a strong growth in aviation in Chile during this decade, prompted by the increase in family income, with a greater demand between Latin America and the United States.

Boeing shared the forecast for the region as part of its Commercial Market Outlook (CMO) report, a twenty-year annual projection of demand for commercial aircraft and services. The projection estimates a demand for 2,240 new aircraft in the Latin American and Caribbean region. Of that total, delivery of more than 2,000 single-aisle aircraft will more than double the current fleet to serve popular tourism routes between North America, Mexico and the Caribbean, while expanding intra-regional networks.

“Latin America has seen a strong recovery in air traffic, particularly in the domestic market, with airlines in the region successfully boosting short-haul single-aisle fleets, and expanding the global market. Airlines will continue to navigate the challenges of Latin America to make air travel more accessible and attractive to travelers in the region”, said David Franson, Boeing Regional Director for Market Forecasting.

More than half of the new aircraft deliveries will go to growth in commercial aviation across the continent, with the remaining orders replacing older aircraft with more fuel-efficient models, such as the Boeing 737 MAX, Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and the Boeing 777X. In the past decade, Latin American airlines have opened more than 200 city pairs throughout the region, a precedent for future demand for single-aisle aircraft, which will account for more than 90% of deliveries.

The forecast for Latin America from 2022 to 2041 also includes the following projections:
– Passenger traffic in the region is expected to increase 4.4% annually
– Demand for business services, including maintenance and repair, will be valued at $165 billion
– Latin America’s cargo aircraft fleet is predicted to grow by up to 50%, reaching 160 aircraft, in line with long-term global trends in demand for cargo aircraft.
– Airlines in the region will have a demand for 118,000 new aviation workers, including 35,000 pilots, 35,000 technicians and 48,000 cabin crew for the next two decades, according to the Boeing Pilot and Technician Forecast.
– Fleet renewal is essential to Boeing’s strategy to decarbonize airspace. The new planes will mean efficiency gains – each generation reduces fuel use, and its emissions, by 15 to 25%.

Eurowings Europa adquiere nacionalidad maltesa

Eurowings Europa una aerolínea austríaca, pasa a ser nacionalidad maltesa. Esta semana culminó su registro ante las autoridades de la pequeña isla mediterránea, que le ha concedido el Certificado de Operador Aéreo (AOC). De esta manera veinte aeronaves de la compañía han pasado a ostentar la bandera maltesa. Igualmente, su personal de cabina pasa a tributar como malteses, aunque la compañía no piensa variar su plan de operaciones, que se centra en Alemania y Austria. La filial de Lufthansa Group explicó en su momento que la intención es evitar que el personal tuviera retenciones fiscales que le complicaran los resultados económicos.

Aaron Farrugia, Ministro de Transportes de Malta, dio la bienvenida a la aerolínea, cuyos aviones pasarán ahora a exhibir la matrícula 9H, como también hace tiempo que ocurre con parte de la flota de Ryanair bajo la denominación de Malta Air que es una empresa conjunta entre Ryanair y el Gobierno de Malta. La República de Malta, que apenas tiene una docena de aeronaves en su aerolínea Air Malta, dispone de 800 aviones comerciales registrados y volando en Europa. Aaron Farrugia añadió que «Malta tiene una reputación única y no disputada como jurisdicción preferida para la aviación».

Eurowings afirma que este cambio le va a dar un empujón en su carrera por crecer. La filial cien por ciento de Lufthansa Group explicó en su momento que la intención es evitar que el personal tuviera retenciones fiscales que afectaran las arcas de la compañía debido a la falta de beneficios fiscales. Eurowings arrastra otro problema estructural: aunque es una marca única, opera con varias sociedades, cada una con sus condiciones laborales. El personal afectado por este cambio es sólo el de Eurowings Europe, pero no las sociedades alemanas, que mantienen su régimen tradicional.

Aerolíneas Argentinas ha informado que estima una reducción de los aportes del Estado para 2023 de un valor de US$ 102 millones de Dólares. El anuncio, el cual fue dado en el marco de la presentación del Proyecto Presupuestal para 2023 por parte del Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación, se ha dado que la transferencia por parte del Tesoro Nacional a la aerolínea ascendería a US$ 412 millones de Dólares, una reducción de US$ 102 millones respecto a 2022.

“Estos indicadores dan cuenta del crecimiento significativo que viene teniendo Aerolíneas Argentinas. Hemos podido solventar buena parte del gasto con ingresos propios y de ahí que estamos sub-ejecutando la partida asignada para este año. Y lo hicimos en un contexto macroeconómico complejo”, explicó el CEO de Aerolíneas Argentinas, Pablo Ceriani.

Los aportes estatales a la aerolínea representarán el 0,31% del Presupuesto General de la Nación, mientras que en 2019 fue del 0,48% y durante este año 2022 representa el 0,45%. En este último caso, vale destacar que, en lo que va del 2022, la empresa ejecutó sólo el 48% de su presupuesto, habiendo recibido AR$ 34.700 millones de Pesos, de los AR$ 72.000 millones presupuestados. Por otro lado, la compañía presentó sus resultados operativos donde estima transportar 11 millones de pasajeros en 2022 y alcanzar los 13 millones para 2023, igualando así la cifra máxima de 2019.

Aerolíneas Argentinas fue creada el 7 de Diciembre de 1950 y posteriormente privatizada en 1990. Finalmente, el 24 de Diciembre de 2008 el Estado Nacional retomó su control. La compañía sirve como operador de una amplia red de rutas que atiende los mercados de Argentina, América y Europa, y su principal función es la de aportar al desarrollo económico y social de Argentina a partir de la conectividad del país con el mundo.

Aerolíneas Argentinas has reported that it estimates a reduction in State contributions for 2023 of a value of US$ 102 million.
