Air Europa cesa operaciones con Embraer E195

La aerolínea española Air Europa ha culminado con la flota activa de Embraer E195. El último avión activo voló de Madrid al Reino Unido el Sábado 28/01 para su almacenamiento. La aerolínea está implementando un plan para unificar la flota solo con aviones Boeing 737/787.

El último avión regional del modelo brasileño que aún estaba activo matrícula EC-LLR voló desde Madrid a Nottingham, Reino Unido, donde será almacenado. El fin de los vuelos con el avión configurado con 120 asientos: Clase Ejecutiva (12) y Económica (108) es parte de un plan para unificar la flota de Air Europa para operar solo aviones Boeing. La compañía posee actualmente una flota de veintiún Boeing 737-800 (21) y veintitrés Boeing 787 (23) en servicio.

Los once E195 (11) que volaron con la librea de Air Europa comenzaron a entregarse en 2008, cuando Globalia, la empresa matriz de la compañía, firmó acuerdos con Embraer S.A. En 2016 el avión comenzó a ser operado a través de Aeronova, una filial del grupo que utilizaba la marca Air Europa Express. Sin embargo, en 2018, la aerolínea anunció su intención de retirarlos gradualmente del servicio, así como la mayoría de los turbohélices ATR 72. El proceso de eliminación gradual del E195 comenzó en Marzo de 2020, cuando Air Europa retiró el avión de registro EC-KRJ. Ese año, otros tres aviones Embraer abandonaron la flota y un quinto modelo, en 2021. En 2022, la aerolínea española retiró cuatro E195 más de los vuelos, dejando solo dos aviones, incluido el EC-LLR, que realizó su último vuelo comercial doméstico el Viernes 27/01 en la ruta Málaga/AGP—Madrid/MAD.

De la flota de diez E195 volados por Air Europa, cuatro (4) están ahora en la flota de Breeze Airways, una aerolínea regional estadounidense, tres (3) fueron transferidos a TAP Air Portugal y tres (3) han estado inactivos durante unos meses.

The Spanish airline Air Europa has culminated with the active fleet of Embraer E195. The last active plane flew from Madrid to the United Kingdom on Saturday 28/01 for storage. The airline is implementing a plan to unify the fleet only with Boeing 737/787 aircraft.

From the fleet of ten E195 blown by Air Europa, four (4) are now in the fleet of Breeze Airways, an American regional airline, three (3) were transferred to TAP Air Portugal and three (3) have been inactive for a few months for a few months.
