KLM Cityhopper recibe décimo quinto Embraer E195-E2

KLM Cityhopper ha recibido el decimoquinto Embraer E195-E2. El avión toma registro holandés PH-NXO, está en camino de Recife a Tenerife el Martes 31/01por la tarde, dos paradas en el largo viaje desde la fábrica de Embraer en São José dos Campos hacia Amsterdam/Schiphol.

El E195-E2 es el tipo más grande en la flota de la filial regional de KLM, que ahora tiene diez más en orden, además de opciones en otros diez aviones. La configuración de la aeronave es para acomodar a 132 pasajeros a bordo, divididos entre Business, Economy Comfort y Economy Class.

KLM Cityhopper vuela una flota completa de Embraer, incluidos los E175 y E190 más antiguos. Con un total de 62 E-Jets, Cityhopper es el mayor cliente europeo de este tipo. El E195-E2 aún no tiene un comienzo impecable en la aerolínea holandesa. KLM Cityhopper heeft de vijftiende Embraer E195-E2 ontvangen. Het vliegtuig neemt het Nederlandse record ph-nxo, is op weg om Dinsdagmiddag 31/01 op weg te gaan naar Tenerife, twee stops op de lange reis van de Embraer-fabriek in São José dos Campos naar Amsterdam/Schiphol.

De E195-E2 is het grootste type in de vloot van de Regionale dochteronderneming van KLM, die nu nog tien meer in orde heeft, naast opties in nog eens tien vliegtuigen. De vliegtuigconfiguratie is om 132 passagiers aan boord te huisvesten, verdeeld tussen zakelijke, economy comfort en economy class.

KLM Cityhopper vliegt een complete vloot van Embraer, inclusief de oudste E175 en E190. Met een totaal van 62 E-Jets is Cityhopper de grootste Europese cliënt van dit type. De E195-E2 heeft nog steeds geen onberispelijk begin in de Nederlandse luchtvaartmaatschappij. Vanwege de noodzakelijke aanvullende inspecties en extra onderhoud van de motoren, de PW1900G, is bijna de helft van de E2-vloot al lang op het land. De PW1900G maakt deel uit van een reeks Gerichte Turbo Fan (GTF) motoren ontwikkeld door Pratt & Whitney. Dit omvat de PW1500G, die wordt gebruikt in de Airbus A220. Na enkele incidenten waarin de A220 tijdens de vlucht te maken had met motorische defecten, besloten de American Aviation Service FAA en de fabrikant onder andere dat er aanvullende inspecties zouden moeten zijn en dat bepaalde onderdelen moesten worden vervangen. KLM Cityhopper is, net als andere E2-Jet-gebruikers en A220, onderworpen aan deze aanbevelingen.

Een woordvoerder van de KLM heeft in 2022 uitgegeven dat «prestatieproblemen geen invloed hebben op de vluchtveiligheid, maar ze beïnvloeden de vlootimplementatiecapaciteit. Op dit moment werken de motorleverancier en de vliegtuigfabrikant om oplossingen te vinden bovendien, KLM Cityhopper werkt hard om de effecten op de operatie zoveel mogelijk te beperken».
