El aeropuerto internacional de Montevideo fue elegido como el mejor del mundo
Una publicación americana especializada en arquitectura premió a la obra del arquitecto Rafel Viñoly como la mejor del planeta.
La página web http://www.architizer.com galardonó con el primer premio al Aeropuerto Internacional de Carrasco, en Montevideo, y la ubicó dentro de las construcciones más destacadas del mundo.

Montevideo International Airport was voted the best in the world
An American publication specializing in architecture awarded the work of architect Rafael Viñoly as the best on the planet.
The website http://www.architizer.com awarded the first prize at Carrasco International Airport in Montevideo, and placed among the most prominent buildings in the world.
200 professionals from the architecture and design were the members of the jury and those responsible for the choice of the best works from 50 different categories.
New Carrasco Air Terminal, which opened in 2009 and built by architect Rafael Viñoly, whose curved design is inspired by the dunes of Rocha, has an area of over 45,000 m2.
One aim of the work is functionality, is made to provide the best possible comfort to visitors and passengers of around 4 million a year. For them, account among other things with two different levels for departures and arrivals, a gazebo bright and spacious terrace and eight gates with telescopic sleeves to ensure safety.
The Uruguayan airport was nominated in the category International Airports together with the terminal Bodrum, Turkey and Terminal II of San Francisco. A\W
