Ethiopian Airlines ha obtenido el premio a la Mejor Aerolínea Africana de 2016, otorgado durante el 25 aniversario de la Conferencia sobre Finanzas Aéreas de la Organización de Aviación Africana y de la Cumbre de Aviación Africana, celebrado el 11 de mayo de 2016 en Johannesburgo (Sudáfrica)
El premio fue entregado a Ethiopian Airlines en reconocimiento a su labor financiera, la modernización de su flota, la expansión en su red de rutas, sus servicios en vuelo, la apreciada atención al cliente y su destacada contribución al desarrollo de la aviación en el continente africano.
Mesfin Tassew, director de operaciones de Ethiopian Airlines, declaró que “estamos muy orgullosos de haber obtenido el premio a ‘Mejor Aerolínea Africana de 2016’, el cual es un ejemplo de los 70 años que llevamos comprometiéndonos a acercar África al resto del mundo”.
Tassew añadió que “es también un reconocimiento al liderazgo visionario de la gestión de Ethiopian Airlines y a los miles de empleados que han trabajado para mantener nuestra brillante línea aérea en los cielos. En nombre de la Dirección Ejecutiva de Ethiopian Airlines y yo mismo, me gustaría dar las gracias a Aviación Africana por este reconocimiento”.
Ethiopian Airlines es una aerolínea multipremiada, incluyendo los premios a la Mejor aerolínea de África, por segundo año consecutivo, y Mejor aerolínea en África, otorgados por una de las revistas de viajes más importantes en Estados Unidos (Premier Traveler), el APEX Passenger Choice Award, el galardón otorgado basándose en el estudio más extenso hecho por pasajeros en la industria, el Premio CAPA a la Aerolínea del Año o el premio AFRAA a la Aerolínea del Año, obtenido por cuarto año consecutivo, son algunos de ellos.
Por otra parte, Ethiopian Airlines ha lanzado el nuevo programa ‘Upgrade to Cloud Nine’, que da la posibilidad a todos los viajeros con un billete Economy Class de entrar en una subasta para poderlo convertir en un pase Business.

The award was delivered to Ethiopian Airlines in recognition of its financial work, the modernization of its fleet, expanding its route network, its services in flight, the valued customer and his outstanding contribution to the development of aviation in the continent African.
