El último avión Fokker F-27 de la Fuerza Aérea Argentina cumplirá un periplo de despedida desde la base aérea de El Palomar hacia el sur, en un recorrido de casi 11.000 kilómetros con escalas en 19 ciudades patagónicas a las que durante más de cuarenta años interconectó bajo la bandera de Líneas Aéreas Del Estado (Lade).
El último vuelo, que durará una semana, se iniciará hoy con el Fokker F-27 Friendship matriculado TC-79 arribe a El Palomar desde la II Brigada Aérea de la localidad entrerriana de Paraná.
El avión será recibido en la pista por el vicecomodoro Juan Agnoletti, piloto que comandó vuelos comerciales de los Fokker de Lade a Malvinas entre 1972 y 1978, cuando esos aviones acumularon 2.700 horas de vuelo uniendo las islas y el continente.
Agnoletti también fue piloto de estos aviones durante la guerra de recuperación de las Islas bajo control británico, en 1982, en la que el escuadrón F-27 realizó 309 misiones de transporte entre el continente y las Malvinas trasladando materiales y hombres, sin sufrir pérdidas.
El avión realizará escalas en 19 ciudades, llegando en su punto más austral al aeropuerto de Usuhaia; en su recorrido, el aparato aterrizará en localidades como Río Gallegos o Bariloche, recorriendo en total más de 10.800 kilómetros.
El itinerario completo comprenderá Paraná, Palomar, Mar del Plata, Bahía Blanca, Trelew, Comodoro Rivadavia, Puerto Madryn, San Antonio Oeste, Gobernador Gregores, Puerto Deseado, San Julián, Santa Cruz, Río Gallegos, Río Grande, Usuhaia, El Calafate, Esquel, Bariloche y Neuquén.
El recorrido se convertirá en una conmemoración al trabajo realizado y a los hitos históricos obtenidos por el citado sistema aéreo, desde su llegada al país en el año 1969, informó la Fuerza Aérea en un comunicado.
Los Fokker de la Fuerza Aérea tienen un rico historial uniendo al sur argentino al servicio de Lade para cubrir los diversos destinos del sur de Argentina, a través de rutas aéreas por las que transportaron pobladores de la zona que, por trabajo o tratamientos médicos, deben trasladarse de una ciudad a otra de la Patagonia.
En sus casi 50 años de servicio, los aparatos cumplieron funciones aerocomerciales de fomento de Lade (donde no llegaba ninguna otra aerolínea comercial) en la región patagónica e islas Malvinas y contribuyeron al establecimiento en la Antártida de la base Marambio, entre otros servicios destacados.
Los Fokker F-27 fueron los primeros en establecer los vuelos regulares con aviones turbohélice desde zona continental hacia Malvinas. El vuelo inaugurar se realizó el 15 de noviembre de 1972, luego que la Fuerza Aérea Argentina construyera una pista provisoria con planchas metálicas de aluminio que permitió que los servicios fueran semanales. Desde 1972 hasta 1978, los F-27 volaron más de 2.700 horas, en un servicio continuo que permitió el enlace aéreo con las Islas.
Características. Diseñado durante la década de 1950 como reemplazo del Douglas DC-3, el F-27 original podía transportar hasta 28 pasajeros en una cabina presurizada, de ala alta, siendo construido por la empresa Fokker, en Holanda, con propulsores turbohélices Rolls-Royce Dart.
El avión lleva dos tripulantes, mide 23,6 metros de largo y tiene una envergadura de 29 metros, con un peso máximo al despegue de 19.730 kilos.
Su velocidad de crucero es de 420 kilómetros por hora con un alcance de 1.930 kilómetros. Puede alcanzar una altitud máxima de 7.500 metros.
El primer vuelo fue el 24 de noviembre de 1955, y fue introducido el 19 de noviembre de 1958 en Europa.
