Este jueves asumió sus funciones el nuevo presidente del directorio del Ente Administrador del Aeropuerto Internacional Rosario, Matías Galíndez, quien reemplazó al cuestionado Raúl Garo. En la ceremonia de presentación, que contó con la presencia del gobernador Miguel Lifschitz y la intendenta Mónica Fein, el flamante funcionario anunció una serie de mejoras que la terminal aérea necesita de forma imperiosa.

Si bien el Aeropuerto local registró el paso de 510 mil pasajeros durante 2016, el de Córdoba ascendió a más de dos millones. A raíz de esto, se planteó el objetivo de mejorar las condiciones de la aeroestación a fin de hacerla más viable y competitiva.

Según explicó Galíndez, “las directivas del gobernador apuntaron a algunas prioridades como la infraestructura de las instalaciones y ya se está trabajando en plataformas y calles de rodaje para que el aeropuerto esté operativo”.

Agregó que “hay proyectos presentados para la construcción de una nueva terminal internacional que permitirá tener un espacio exclusivo para los vuelos internacionales. De ese modo, la estructura actual se destinaría solamente al servicio de cabotaje”.

“Para cumplir esta meta, hay partidas presupuestarias de la provincia y el aeropuerto tiene sus propios fondos para aplicar a inversiones, aunque también habrá que buscar fondos nacionales. Esa será una gestión política”, afirmó Galíndez.

Además, el flamante presidente del directorio describió algunas obras que se ejecutarán en los próximos 20 días que incluyen bacheo, cierre de grietas y cambio de lozas en calles de rodaje, y anunció la implementación de nuevos servicios a Buenos Aires destinado a pasajeros que necesitan llegar a la mañana temprano a la ciudad por cuestiones laborales, y partir al final de la tarde.
