La aerolínea “low cost” que comenzará a operar en el país planea llegar a 2021 con 8 millones de pasajeros transportados. Aprueban la ruta Santiago – Buenos Aires
Flybondi será la primera aerolínea low cost que operará en el país con aeronaves Boeing 737-800NG, según confirmaron los directivos de la firma Julian Cook y José Sicilia.
Las aeronaves tendrán 189 asientos y esto, según los empresarios, asegurará el costo más bajo por asiento en el mercado argentino, como parte del plan de la compañía para poder transportar 8 millones de pasajeros en el 2021.
Cook y Sicilia finalizaron los detalles del acuerdo de Servicio de Soporte para el inicio de las operaciones en una reunión mantenida esta tarde en las oficinas de la empresa. Al cabol del encuentr0, Cook afirmó que “el Boeing 737-800 es la aeronave indicada para desarrollar nuestro modelo low cost en la Argentina”.
Al respecto agradeció “el nivel de soporte que Boeing nos ha brindado” y sostuvo que esperan “tener una relación de largo plazo”. Adelantó, también, que “comenzaremos pronto nuevas negociaciones por una orden de 50 Boeing 737 MAX 200“.
Agregó que “al mismo tiempo, ya hemos empezado las negociaciones con las empresas de leasing de aeronaves para nuestro lanzamiento en el segundo semestre de este año”.

Flybondi will be the first low cost airline to operate in the country with Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, according to the directors of the firm Julian Cook and José Sicilia.
The aircraft will have 189 seats and this, according to the businessmen, will ensure the lowest cost per seat in the Argentine market, as part of the company’s plan to transport 8 million passengers in 2021.
Cook and Sicilia completed the details of the Support Service agreement for the start of operations at a meeting held this afternoon at the company’s offices. At the meeting, Cook stated that “the Boeing 737-800 is the aircraft designed to develop our low-cost model in Argentina.”
He thanked “the level of support that Boeing has given us” and said they hope to “have a long-term relationship.” He also said that “we will begin new negotiations soon for an order of 50 Boeing 737 MAX 200“.
He added that “at the same time, we have already begun negotiations with aircraft leasing companies for our launch in the second half of this year”. A\W
