El Aeropuerto de Villa María, Argentina, continúa sin servicios aéreos que la conecten regionalmente

Desde su flamante inauguración, la terminal aérea solo funciona con vuelos privados. La parálisis del Aeropuerto Néstor Kirchner obedece a cuestiones vinculadas con la empresa Avianca. Hace cinco meses que no opera ninguna aerolínea en rutas aerocomerciales que la unan con otras ciudades.

La Municipalida de Villa María todavía no ha logrado formalizar el acuerdo con Avianca, supuestamente por razones internas de la firma, cuyo titular anunció meses atrás que en julio comenzarían las operaciones en el país con un vuelo a Reconquista, Provincia de Santa Fe, para luego hacerlo de manera “progresiva” a diversas localidades, entre las que se incluyó Villa María en la Provincia de Córdoba.

El jefe de Gabinete de Villa María, Héctor Muñoz, expresó que la meta del municipio es que el aeropuerto sea autosustentable. La idea es subsidiar una parte del boleto en el primer trimestre. Hasta abril, cuando se paralizó la terminal, siempre el municipio subsidió al menos la mitad de cada pasaje. Aunque sostienen que es casi imposible que una línea aérea pueda sostener la ruta a Villa María sin apoyo del municipio sería inviable.
