Samoa Airways tiene intensiones de incorporar el Boeing 737 MAX a su flota

La aerolínea samoana recibiráun Boeing 737-800 de la arrendadora Neos de Italia a través de un acuerdo negociado por Icelandair unidad islandesa de Loftleidir, para 12 de Noviembre 2017, expresó Lautafi Fio Selafi Purcell, Ministro de Obras Públicas. Al mismo tiempo la empresa está buscando necesidades futuras de capacidad. «Al final de la línea, esperamos alquilar o adquirir un avión Boeing 737 MAX para 2019 para expandir los servicios de Samoa Airways a otros destinos como Melbourne Tullamariney Brisbane Int’l en Australia», dijo.

Una vez que las operaciones de Samoa Airways se hayan estabilizado, Purcell dijo que el plan es la transición del arrendamiento de wet-lease (alquiler aeronave con tripulación) a dry lease (alquiler aeronave sin tripulación). Este período de tiempo permitirá a la aerolínea capacitar al personal samoano necesario para tener tripulación propia.

Como sucesora de Virgin Samoa, Samoa Airways comenzará operaciones el martes 14 de Noviembre 2017. Las rutas asignadas son: Apia—Auckland (Nueva Zelanda) con seis vuelos semanales, así como Apia—Sydney (Australia) con dos servicios por senama.

Samoa Airways has plans to incorporate the Boeing 737 MAX into its fleet

The Samoan airline will receive a Boeing 737-800 from Italy’s Neos lessor through an agreement negotiated by Icelandair Iceland’s Loftleidir unit, for November 12, 2017, said Lautafi Fio Selafi Purcell, Minister of Public Works. At the same time the company is looking for future capacity needs. «At the end of the line, we expect to rent or purchase a Boeing 737 MAX aircraft by 2019 to expand Samoa Airways services to other destinations such as Melbourne Tullamarine and Brisbane Int’l in Australia,» he said.

Once the operations of Samoa Airways have stabilized, Purcell said the plan is to transition from wet leasing to dry lease. This period of time will allow the airline to train the Samoan personnel necessary to have its own crew.

As a successor to Virgin Samoa, Samoa Airways will commence operations on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Apia-Auckland (New Zealand) with six weekly flights, as well as Apia-Sydney (Australia) with two services per senama. A \ W
