Ucrania prorrogó hasta el 1 de agosto de 2018 la labor de la misión que investiga el derribo del vuelo MH17 en Donbás en Julio de 2014
La ley para extender el acuerdo entre Ucrania y los Países Bajos sobre la misión internacional de la investigación, propuesta por el líder ucraniano, Petró Poroshenko, fue apoyada en la sesión del 5 de diciembre por 257 parlamentarios frente al mínimo necesario de 226 votos.
El 17 de Julio de 2014, el vuelo MH17 de la compañía Malaysia Airlines que se dirigía de Ámsterdam a Kuala Lumpur se estrelló en la provincia de Donetsk, en el este de Ucrania, zona convulsionada por los enfrentamientos entre las tropas del régimen ucraniano y las milicias, falleciendo sus 298 personas, en su mayoría holandeses.
Ucrania y los Países Bajos firmaron el 28 de Julio de 2014 un acuerdo sobre la misión internacional de la investigación, formada por expertos de los Países Bajos, Australia y otros Estados cuyos pasajeros estaban a bordo, para recopilar despojos del derribado MH17 y aclarar las causas del catástrofe.
El Equipo de Investigación Conjunto (JIT) concluyó en su informe del 28 de septiembre de 2016 que el avión fue derribado por un misil del sistema antiaéreo Buk, presuntamente transportado desde Rusia a un área bajo control de las milicias de Donetsk.
Las milicias niegan su implicación en la tragedia y acusan al otro bando del conflicto armado: a los militares ucranianos. El Ministerio de Exteriores ruso ya declaró que las conclusiones hechas por el grupo investigador son preconcebidas y que los investigadores internacionales parten solo de los datos facilitados por Ucrania.
El consorcio ruso Almaz-Antey, fabricante de los sistemas Buk, había presentado otro informe, en el que expone los resultados de una investigación propia. De acuerdo a esta investigación, el avión malasio fue derribado desde un territorio controlado por el Ejército ucraniano.

The law to extend the agreement between Ukraine and the Netherlands on the international mission of the investigation, proposed by the Ukrainian leader, Petro Poroshenko, was supported in the session of December 5 by 257 parliamentarians in front of the necessary minimum of 226 votes.
On July 17, 2014, the MH17 flight of the Malaysia Airlines company that was heading from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in Donetsk province, in the east of Ukraine, an area convulsed by the clashes between the Ukrainian regime’s troops and the militias, killing 298 people, mostly Dutch.
Ukraine and the Netherlands signed on July 28, 2014 an agreement on the international mission of the investigation, formed by experts from the Netherlands, Australia and other States whose passengers were on board, to collect the remains of the demolished MH17 and clarify the causes of the catastrophe.
The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) concluded in its September 28, 2016 report that the plane was shot down by a Buk anti-aircraft missile, allegedly transported from Russia to an area under the control of the Donetsk militias.
The militias deny their involvement in the tragedy and accuse the other side of the armed conflict: the Ukrainian military. The Russian Foreign Ministry has already stated that the conclusions made by the research group are preconceived and that international researchers start from the data provided by Ukraine only.
The Russian consortium Almaz-Antey, manufacturer of the Buk systems, had submitted another report, in which it presents the results of its own investigation. According to this investigation, the Malaysian plane was shot down from a territory controlled by the Ukrainian Army. A \ W
