Las aerolíneas Avianca y Air China han firmado un acuerdo de código compartido

El acuerdo de código compartido entre Avianca y Air China permitirá establecer más conexiones entre América y Asia. Permitirá impulsar el crecimiento del mercado en ambos lados del planeta. Los pasajeros asiáticos tendrán una puerta de llegada a colombia y de ahí a más de cien destinos en Canadá, Estados Unidos, México, Centroamérica, Caribe y América del Sur. De manera recíproca, China permitirá conectar a miles de pasajeros en Oriente. El nuevo acuerdo les permitirán a los pasajeros de Air China acumular millas en PhoenixMiles, su programa de viajero frecuente.

El acuerdo permitirá mejorar las conexiones de ambas aerolíneas y permitirá volar a Europa desde Bogotá en vuelos operados por Avianca a Madrid, Barcelona y Londres a partir de Diciembre de 2017.

“Este código compartido con Air China nos permite ingresar a un nuevo mercado asiático para así ofrecerles a los pasajeros de ese continente el servicio de Clase Mundial que caracteriza a Avianca y, de esta manera, incentivar el turismo a nuestro continente y brindarles a los viajeros de negocios mejores opciones de conexión con nuestra región” expresó el CEO y Presidente Ejecutivo de Avianca, Hernán Rincón.

“Los gobiernos de China y Colombia han sostenido reuniones bilaterales periódicas durante los últimos años logrando una relación más cercana en términos de economía, comercio y cultura. China es hoy el segundo socio comercial más importante de Colombia; de hecho, durante el primer semestre de 2017 el volumen de comercio entre ambos países aumentó en un 17,5% respecto al año anterior. Con el lanzamiento de este código compartido, la relación entre Air China y Avianca explorará más oportunidades para el intercambio y el desarrollo del comercio y la cultura entre ambos países, mejorará la cooperación entre Asia y América del Sur y ayudará a expandir la red global de ambas aerolíneas para ofrecer más opciones a los clientes”, expresó Wang Mingyuan, Vicepresidente Senior de Air China.

Air China emplea aeronaves Airbus A330, Boeing B787 y Boeing B777. Avianca utiliza Boeing 787 en sus vuelos hacia y desde Europa. Avianca y Air China son miembros de Star Alliance, la alianza global de aerolíneas más importante del mundo con 28 aerolíneas miembro, cuya red permite llegar a 1.300 destinos en 191 países.

Airlines Avianca and Air China have signed a code-share agreement

The code-sharing agreement between Avianca and Air China will allow for more connections between America and Asia. It will allow to boost the growth of the market on both sides of the planet. Asian passengers will have a gateway to Colombia and from there to more than a hundred destinations in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and South America. In a reciprocal way, China will allow connecting thousands of passengers in the East. The new agreement will allow Air China passengers to earn miles in PhoenixMiles, their frequent flyer program.

The agreement will improve the connections of both airlines and allow Europe to fly from Bogota on flights operated by Avianca to Madrid, Barcelona and London as of December 2017.

«This code shared with Air China allows us to enter a new Asian market to offer passengers in that continent the World Class service that characterizes Avianca and, in this way, encourage tourism to our continent and provide travelers of business, better connection options with our region», expressed the CEO and Executive President of Avianca, Hernán Rincón.

Air China uses Airbus A330, Boeing B787 and Boeing B777 aircraft. Avianca uses Boeing 787 on its flights to and from Europe.
