El Aeropuerto Internacional de Córdoba tendrá una nueva pista

Las obras comenzarían en el segundo semestre del 2018 y se inaugurarían a comienzos del 2019. La medida busca anticipar el incremento en el tráfico aéreo. De esta manera el Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación reconstruirá una de las pistas del Aeropuerto Ambrosio Taravella de Córdoba. Las obras incluirán ampliación de plataformas, márgenes, cabeceras y calles de rodaje, además de la incorporación de nueva tecnología de balizamiento e iluminación. La inversión superaría los mil millones de pesos y las obras comenzarían en el segundo semestre del 2018 para quedar inauguradas en los primeros meses del 2019.

En la actualidad el aeropuerto cordobés es uno de los pocos en el país que cuenta con dos pistas operables denominadas 18-36, la principal, y 05-23, la alternativa. La 18-36, pista de 3200 metros de largo por 45 metros de ancho cuya superficie es de hormigón, se reconstruirá por completo, según informaron fuentes del gobierno nacional. A diferencia de lo que ocurrió con las obras realizadas en el Aeropuerto El Plumerillo de Mendoza, que durante las refacciones quedó inhabilitado y los pasajeros debieron movilizarse hacia San Rafael o San Juan para poder volar, en Córdoba eso no ocurriría ya que la pista 05-23, de 2255 metros de largo por 45 de ancho con superficie de asfalto, quedaría como alternativa. Las obras serán financiadas en parte por las tasas aeroportuarias y, por otro lado, por la inversión que tiene comprometida Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 por contrato.

La pista del Aeropuerto de Córdoba no está en condiciones imperiosas de reconstrucción, sino que la decisión de la Nación es una medida que se anticipa al intenso tráfico aéreo que puede sumar la plaza con la llegada de diversas aerolíneas que optaron por Córdoba para incrementar su operaciones.

The works would begin in the second semester of 2018 and would be inaugurated at the beginning of 2019. The measure seeks to anticipate the increase in air traffic. The investment would exceed one billion pesos and the works would begin in the second half of 2018 to be inaugurated in the first months of 2019.

At present the Cordovan airport is one of the few in the country that has two operational tracks called 18-36, the main one, and 05-23, the alternative. The 18-36, track 3200 meters long by 45 meters wide whose surface is concrete, will be completely rebuilt, according to sources from the national government. Unlike what happened with the works carried out at El Plumerillo de Mendoza Airport, which during the spare parts was disabled and the passengers had to move to San Rafael or San Juan to fly, in Córdoba that would not happen as the runway 05- 23, 2255 meters long by 45 wide with asphalt surface, would be an alternative. The works will be financed in part by airport taxes and, on the other hand, by the investment committed by Aeropuertos Argentina2000 by contract.
