Avianca recibió los primeros A320NEO que fueron entregados el 11 de diciembre en la planta de ensamblaje de Airbus en Hamburgo, Alemania

Avianca Colombia incorpora los dos primeros Airbus A320NEO a su flota aerocomercial. Los registros de matrícula de las nuevas aeronaves N764AV y N765AV de última generación están equipadas con motores CFM LEAP-1A26, motores más potentes y eficientes, lo que permite un menor consumo de combustible (ahorro cercano al 20%), son más silenciosos (50% de disminución en la huella acústica) y una menor emisión de gases frente a los del A320 convencional.

Ruta de arribo
Los Airbus A320NEO despegaron desde el Aeropuerto de Hamburgo el 12 diciembre hacia la Isla de Tenerife, España, con los vuelos AV4980 y AV4981. El 13 de diciembre volaron de Tenerife a Fortaleza y finalmente, el 14 de diciembre, de Fortaleza a Bogotá, donde aterrizaron en horas de la mañana del 14 de diciembre de 2017 en el Aeropuerto Internacional Eldorado. En total los aviones recorrieron 11.866 kilómetros en más de 15 horas de vuelo.

Avianca formuló un pedido en 2012 al constructor Airbus Group por 51 A320 que incluyen 33 A320NEO. Para 2105 Avianca ordenó un pedido extra por 100 aviones A319NEO, A320NEO y A321NEO.

Avianca ha sido una compañía muy dinámica a los cambios y se ha expandido sus operaciones de manera exitosa a pesar de las turbulencias de mercado. En octubre 2107, la aerolínea se convirtió en el primer operador latinoamericano en recibir el A321NEO.

Avianca received the first A320NEO that was delivered on December 11 at the Airbus assembly plant in Hamburg, Germany

Avianca Colombia incorporates the first two Airbus A320NEO into its commercial air fleet. Registration records of new aircraft N764AV and N765AV the last generation are equipped with motors CFM LEAP-1A26, more powerful and efficient engines, which allows a lower consumption of fuel (savings close to 20%), are quieter (50% decrease in the acoustic footprint) and a lower gas emission compared to the conventional A320.

Arrival route

Avianca made an order in 2012 to the Airbus Group constructor for 51 A320 including 33 A320NEO. For 2105 Avianca ordered an extra order for 100 A319NEO, A320NEO and A321NEO aircraft.
