El Tribunal Superior de Delhi confirmó hoy la decisión del operador del Aeropuerto DIAL de cambiar parcialmente las operaciones de IndiGo, GoAir y Spicejet desde la Terminal T1 a la T2 en el Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL/VIDP).

El Tribunal Superior de Delhi destituyó a InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. propietaria de IndiGo, solicitó la petición de la aerolínea para cambiar parcialmente sus operaciones de la Terminal 1 del Aeropuerto Internacional de Delhi a la recién creada Terminal 2. Sin embargo, la Corte Suprema extendió el plazo para cambiar sus operaciones a Febrero 2018.

El Aeropuerto Internacional de Delhi Pvt Ltd. (DIAL) había pedido a todas las líneas aéreas que operan en la Terminal 1 que cambien un tercio de sus operaciones a la Terminal 2 en un intento por satisfacer el creciente tráfico de pasajeros. IndiGo objetó el movimiento diciendo que causará confusión y dificultará las operaciones. The High Court of Delhi today confirmed the decision of the DIAL Airport operator to partially change the operations of IndiGo, GoAir and Spicejet from Terminal T1 to T2 at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL / VIDP).

The Delhi High Court dismissed InterGlobe Aviation Ltd., which owns IndiGo, requested the airline’s request to partially change its operations from Terminal 1 of the Delhi International Airport to the newly created Terminal 2. However, the Supreme Court extended the term to change its operations to February 2018.

The Delhi Pvt International Airport Ltd. (DIAL) had asked all the airlines operating in Terminal 1 to switch one third of their operations to Terminal 2 in an attempt to satisfy the growing passenger traffic. IndiGo objected to the move saying it will cause confusion and hinder operations. Previously, the company had requested a provisional suspension until the final hearing was concluded, but the Delhi High Court rejected their request.

Defense lawyer Mukul Rohatgi, a lawyer for InterGlobe Aviation, had argued that DIAL’s decision was arbitrary and, therefore, an appropriate case to change.
