La nevada provoca retrasos en el Aeropuerto de Madrid-Barajas
El Aeropuerto Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas ha estado operando al 50% de su capacidad operativa por la caída de nieve provocando retrasos, cancelaciones de vuelos e importantes críticas por falta de previsión.
Hoy por la tarde AENA confirmaba el cierre parcial de dos pistas motivando que todos los despegues y aterrizajes de los vuelos tuvieran que ser derivados a dos pistas mientras se llevan a cabo tareas de limpieza en las otras dos. Minutos después, a las 14:15 horas, las dos pistas abiertas se han destinado en exclusiva para aterrizajes. Una suspensión que ha motivado que más de 80 aeronaves se hayan visto en una suerte de atasco al estar paradas en secuencia de despegue esperando pista y autorización de la torre de control. Pasadas las 15:00 horas se han reabierto todas las pistas. Una situación que, no obstante, no impedirá que las demoras acumuladas en los vuelos se mantengan durante varias horas hasta que se pueda reorganizar todo el tráfico aéreo de Barajas afectado por el temporal.
El temporal es probable se extienda en los próximos días en la región provocando frío y nieve. Aena ha anunciado que mantendrá activo, pero en alerta, el Plan Invierno.
