Jeju Air se convierte en la primera aerolínea de bajo costo en Corea en poseer y operar 737-800 Next Generation

Boeing y Jeju Air celebraron hoy la entrega del primer avión de próxima generación Boeing 737-800 de la aerolínea de compra directa durante una ceremonia en el Centro de Entrega de Seattle. Con esta entrega, Jeju Air se convertirá en la primera compañía de bajo costo (LCC) en Corea en poseer y operar un 737-800 de próxima generación.

Esta entrega es la primera de tres Boeing 737-800NG que la aerolínea tiene en orden con Boeing. Con sede en la isla de Jeju, Corea del Sur, la aerolínea totalmente Boeing opera actualmente una flota de 34 aviones 737-800 de próxima generación.

Jeju Air actualmente presta servicios a 40 rutas nacionales e internacionales con aproximadamente 150 vuelos diarios. El operador también es miembro fundador de Value Alliance, la primera alianza panregional de operadores de bajo costo formada en 2016 que comprende ocho aerolíneas con base en Asia. El Boeing 737-800 es una de las versiones más vendidas de la exitosa familia de 737 Next Generation, correspondiente a la tercera generación de la línea 737.

Jeju Air becomes the first low cost airline in Korea to own and operate 737-800 Next Generation

Boeing and Jeju Air today celebrated the delivery of the first Boeing 737-800 next generation direct purchase aircraft during a ceremony at the Seattle Delivery Center. With this delivery, Jeju Air will become the first low cost carrier (LCC) in Korea to own and operate a next-generation 737-800.

This delivery is the first of three Boeing 737-800NG that the airline has in order with Boeing. Based on Jeju Island, South Korea, the fully Boeing airline currently operates a fleet of 34 next generation 737-800 aircraft.

Jeju Air currently serves 40 national and international routes with approximately 150 daily flights. The operator is also a founding member of Value Alliance, the first pan-regional alliance of low-cost operators formed in 2016 comprising eight airlines based in Asia.
