Reino Unido y Estados Unidos logran un acuerdo de aviación post-Brexit

Estados Unidos y Gran Bretaña formalizaron este Miércoles, 28 Noviembre 2018 un acuerdo de servicio aéreo de Cielos Abiertos alcanzado entre ambos gobiernos que garantizará el funcionamiento continuo de rutas transatlánticas vitales. Gran Bretaña y los Estados Unidos acordaron un nuevo acuerdo de aviación de Cielos Abiertos que entrará en vigencia después de que el Reino Unido abandone la Unión Europea. El acuerdo reemplazará el actual acuerdo de aviación de la UE con los EEUU, ya que Gran Bretaña se prepara para un futuro fuera de la UE.

El gobierno británico dijo que el acuerdo «garantizará la continuidad de las rutas transatlánticas vitales utilizadas por decenas de millones de pasajeros al año, asegurando que la gente pueda continuar viajando fácilmente entre el Reino Unido y los EEUU».

El nuevo acuerdo de servicio aéreo es uno de los nueve que ha hecho el Reino Unido, con Albania, Georgia, Islandia, Israel, Kosovo, Montenegro, Marruecos y Suiza, los otros países. United Kingdom and the United States reach a post-Brexit aviation agreement
